Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah I donât know then
Here is the pad mod I mentioned in case anyone was curious. The inside baffle lip is pretty big so just make sure the foam is on it rather than obstructing the sound.
Ok so did I say that you cant do additive EQ with EQ APO yet? cuz its limited at 0db and if you add say 6db of bass it would just limit the bass at 0db so it would compress kinda
Oi @M0N
You lower the overall other sliders by the amount to boost by, you donât boost you cut for an effective eq. Itâs not the best to go over 0db
Ye if I do that it doesnât sound right I tried doing that
Thatâs why I value a headphone with good subbass extension cuz you canât add more subbass unless you use a hardware solution like an amp with a bass boost altho idk how that works actually
Are you sure you are doing it right? Perhaps send a screenshot or something?
using filters, using a band EQ you would rather lower the other bands over 100hz
but what this does is that it lowers the overall volume of the other frequencies over 100hz and it sounds wrong
The gain -6 should be on top
I donât think it matters it works either way, ye I changed it while listening to music its the same thing
Is it actually enabled? That should work just fine? Like if you try a more extreme adjustment does it actually make a difference? I donât see a glaring issue
Ye It works, I hear more subbass now, but the other frequencies over 100hz seem subdued now
Ok imma crank it 20db time to kill my headphones
Well yeah thatâs how eq works. Also 100hz it a bit too high imo if you want a more modest bass boost but it should do the job. EQ is great but itâs not magic
Ye thats just the default setting
For a slight bass boost I just boost frequencies up to 60hz by 3db and lower the rest by -3 and it gets the job done for sure (so 60hz center low shelf), although perhaps a more steep ramp up or q value
To be fair these are not the best headphones to test on since they have flat bass,
Ok I figured it out !
Itâs the same thing like the spotify sound normalization cuz it turns the overall sound down (besides bass in this case) it makes music sound dull even if you turn it louder to make it as loud as before
I will experiment with this a bit to see if Iâm right 100% but it sounds like it
I will go watch and read some reviews on these Koss tho I am curious now
Well you donât have an amp right? I would say itâs your amp or headphones running out of steam or a misconfiguation as thatâs not normal
But yeah do some research and see if itâs something you would enjoy
It could actually that im using onboard and cranking the on board sound makes it like that
Yeah thatâs my guess for this one then. An amp can have those issues if you push it hard enough
If I can actually increase subbass thatâd be a great find cuz I donât have to find a headphone with perfect subbass extension, so thatâs HUGE!
Also Iâm listening to this rn:
