Im imagining canadians in other countries like vietnam and mexico where you do some haggling with the locals lol
Lol yeah that would be an interesting experiment. Perhaps you can sell your stuff at a higher price and people will just buy without trying to adjust the price in canada lol. Does your eBay over there not have a âbest offerâ button lol?
Lol I know folks who got fleeced in situations like that when they travelled.
Yeah tourists are easy targets in somewhere that is big into bartering as the tourists just typically pay full price, not knowing or expecting they can negotiate
I am not really an eBay fan. The selection on eBay.ca is not great. And the sellers seem sketchy. For headphone gear in Canada, it is Canuck Audio Mart for high end stuff and Kijiji (Canadaâs Craigs list) for cheaper items. Not much quality on FaceBook, more like Kijiji.
Gotcha, itâs pretty popular in the us so I had assumed it would be in Canada as well
Youâd think so, but we donât always follow you guys.
Of course as I say that I am sure there are at least tens of thousands of Canadians using eBay.ca
another issue is a vast majority wonât ship to Canada or for those that do, freight is often ridonkulous.
Ahhhh yeah I can see that being an issue
That is a real problem for me with Amazon.com. I use Amazon.ca a lot and occasionally I go the .com to find a certain product. The companies either donât have Canadian distribution rights or they kill you with conversion and shipping charges.
And if you look for an equivalent on Amazon.ca they marked up price by 3x on the rare chance they do have it.
itâs nice that more and more Amazon.com will ship to Canada now. the downsize is that you do need to pay for a separate Prime account for the .com to really benefit.
Yeah the prime thing is ridiculous. Though I suppose the extra hundred bucks a year cant hurt if Iâm ordering enough to justify the cost
Prime is great in the us, as you can get stuff either same day or 2 day shipping for the most part of the us. Where I live it adds on an extra day, but itâs still great, along with the other benefits it comes with if you use those
Prime up here works pretty much the same but with a much more limited selection
I donât order enough to get use out of Prime, but we have it anyway.
We got it for the TV and movies. Not as good as Netflix, but $8.00 vs $14.00.
Most everything has free shipping anyway and there is almost nothing that I need in one or two days.
living in the middle of nowhere (Prince Rupert) having Prime is very very useful!
So KOSS ESP 95X or Stax L3100? Anyone actually owned both and can make a comparison/pitch for 1 vs the other?
I would rather take the 95x over the 3100 system imo. The 95x actually has decent bass, more body, has a better warranty, and is more comfortable imo. I would only consider going for the stax if you really want a super light and airy sound. They are very similar in imaging and the 95x is a bit wider imo. The 95x had a more organic timbre that I think works better with most music compared to the stax imo. The stax might have a bit more high end detail, but the mid-range and bass in the 95x is more detailed imo
Thanks for the fast response M0N. That is exactly the kind of info Iâm looking for! Looking to get a pair of estats soon and couldnât decide between the 2.
