That’s the kz’s official graph.
When I look at it more seriously, the mid-bass isn’t emphasized, and even a little recessed compared to sub-bass and mids… W shaped, then? We’ll see

Thank you! Since the graph from KZ, I’m going to withhold my judgment until I actually hear the IEM or until a third party reviewer graphs it.
Speaking of reviewers - surely someone has the ZEX Pro sitting in the pile of IEMs waiting to be reviewed??

Nah, check the Y-axis. The bass elevation is only 4db@20hz and 5db@2,5khz.
BUT, this is KZ graphs…so dont trust them…
(just take a look at their other iems that have been graphed on squiglink compared to their own graphs.)

I missed the coupon part when I bought this from the kz store (still discovering some AliExpress tricks).I was lucky kz is not as swift as Amazon: the order was not prepared or anything, so I have been able to cancel it, and then order again, with the coupon this time!

Aliexpress isnt slow, its so you can cancel it if you want to.

I watched the guy’s video list. They exclusively have kz iems in it. So yeah, taken with a pinch of salt…

Graph looks cool, I hope it isn’t hissing like ZEX.
Hissing? what source are you using with the ZEX? it’s impedance is 25Ω which isn’t that low where as say CF Andromeda is 12.8Ω.

nice, looks like a VK4 that will come with some semblance of technicalities and a cleaner bass. just have to hope the bellsing BA doesn’t ruin it too much

I live near some overhead powerlines, and when I wear the standard ZEX outside, they get hissing and some static too. I have to assume the electret is very sensitive to the EM. Magneto static driver is actually the more accurate term for what the driver is, but I am not going down that down rabbit hole.

Sadly the old VK4 is rumoured to have gone the way of the teas. They have apparently changed the tuning for the VK4.

I saw on a FB forum that a few people have received their ZEX Pro already. The consensus is that this set does veer away from KZ house sound sig and sounds much closer to the Harmon target! Interesting interesting. I hope the BA+electret combo delivers a tasteful treble region and not sibilant!
