They have a forum that gets lots of action over the years. And they used to have one big party/picnic for the customers. People from all over would fly/drive to Ontario to celebrate all things Axiom in the summer.
that’s cool!
and I want to know what function omni-directional gives that their ‘floor speakers’ don’t have, cause they look darn near identical.
Omnidirectional speakers bring your listening experience to a new level. You’ll be surrounded by a seemingly limitless soundstage, with music filling the entire listening space. Be prepared to be seduced!
“Their big, open sound, exceptional clarity, and massive dynamics are astonishing for a speaker of this size and price. In fact, once you experience the LFR1100’s intoxicatingly clean, powerful sound, you may find it hard to live without. I know I did.”
–Roger Kanno, SoundStage
This kind of pure, clean sound requires power: each pair of LFR needs four channels of amplification. To find out which speaker is best for your room and listening tastes, send us an email, or call our toll-free number - 1-888-352-9466 - for free, friendly advice from our Audio Experts.
All Axiom Omnidirectional speakers include:

Ok, back to subject.
I’m actually having hard time to understand how, looking the actual speaker, it would be Omnidirectional in the way i understand?
You could kinda say that is only a “sales speech” and not even be Omnidirectional, in the way i understand it. If you look Omnidirectional speakers from like MBL, Duevel, Bang & Olufsen’s or even Samsung Omni, you can see and quickly notice how the sound would be spread around the room. But the Axiom… it does not and ain’t ?
I mean i can be in my kitchen and making food with wall separating the living room and i can hear music very nicely, every bit of it. Sound stage is off but still hearing everything.
I would not say never ever the studio monitors are Omnidirectional but you might get the idea what pointing.
got a reply about their weird porting. they say it’s to remove port noise.
that’s odd as I would think the opposite. if port noise was really an issue, why don’t others do this?
oh…I was meaning to point out that one thing I really like about Axiom is how they aren’t pushing high end snake oil cables.
they make $10K speakers, but recommend cheap / effective pure copper cable by the foot.
hmmm…apparently custom port designs are not uncommon. Axiom just stands out as different in how they designed their speaker ports to lower distortion.
