What could cause GPU failure?

Overheat or Overvoltage

did you check cable connections? GPU to Monitor…and check if GPU is fully plugged in and that the power cables to it aren’t loose.

Tried different cable, different port on the gpu, uninstalled/reinstalled and different pci slot on mobo. All produced same pixelation.

Tried same monitor on laptop and it is clear.

Tried an older gpu and it works fine.

Depends how hard you push your GPU. Overheat or overvoltage. Or it could just be its time to die. components will die over time even without pushing them hard. Sounds like you ruled out everything else. Have you changed any drivers or graphics settings lately?

That’s whats puzzling me. The gpu is only 3 months old and had been rock solid. No settings were changed lately.

I already got an RMA. I just want to understand if it is something I did so I can avoid it when I get the replacement.

Run it stock or overclocked?

Stock. I usually don’t mess with that stuff.

Sounds like classic RMA

Could be a number of things. Could simply be the card deciding to crap out entirely on it’s own.

Apple engineering: Heatsink and Fan share the same case, that is where the mutuality ends

It could be that one of the components was badly soldered and came loose or maybe the pcb had a defect and when it started to cool it cracked or something.

Anyway I’ve been having computer problems as well. Every time I start my PC Windows goes to recovery, but if I manage to go to select boot drive and select the drive I have Windows installed on it boots just fine. Does anyone have a solution or know what could be causing this problem?

Just stumbled on this one… This case is preeetty neat. Might have to buy it for my next build

What I have for my case, pretty nice to build in, don’t know shit about RGB so it’s not really controlled by my MoBo but PC sits under my desk so I don’t care about the colors much. Back of MoBo options made cable maintenance a breeze, easy recommend!

Jay (Jayztwocents) loved it, Steve (Tech Jesus) was a bit more reserved if I recall correctly.

Imo. Too big and those lights…
I just dont like anything and everything RGB gimmicks gear.
Essential lights only.

Too big? It’s a mid atx tower that’s pretty standard size so confused why you would think it’s too big.

Might be those thousands of thousands workstation that i have moved / connected to back use… so yea. Everything from tiny to mini sized are perfect.
Or laptops. They good sized to.

My all time favourite are the IBM diagnostic panels:

Push lever, pop the thing out, and just like that, you know where the system wants you to check first.
