Wonder if this is in direct responce to hackintoshes. Which would make sense tbh but I doubht its worth that much investment. Can’t see it going well tho as they gonna have a world of fun getting programs and shiz to work and basically bye bye game suppor. (Who games on a mac anyway).
I do the same but I always run Asus for other people cause of their reliability
It would be cheaper to pay every macintosh user 10 grand instead of throwing R&D money at GPU development.
Yeah they are reliable af this has lasted nearly 6years constant use and granted Ive lost 2 ram slots but thats it. Its just super hard to justify an expencive board to someone who wants best bang for buck u can get. So I end up with not cheapest board but noramally like seccond cheapest.
you guys think this a good first pc for just browsing and some gaming?

That would be the end of any pretense of apple as a gaming platform.
They already demonstrate on a yearly basis their inability to provide decent drivers, when I worked in games we’d commonly have to artificially limit games to particular OS versions because Apple wouldn’t fix drivers, and they were in effect only released with the OS.
Would u like me to peice a build for u? and yeah u dont want a 1030 and id say go for either a 3300x or get an APU if u only spending that much on a GPU as cheap gpus are really shit. Or buy one seccond hand best way to get pc price down. Plus u wont need 16gb of ram if light gaming and ur budget that low.
@Bmn1251
awesome thank you, yes that would help a lot! build me one up budget is a little flexable
Aight awesome, Ill do it in a bit after ive eaten my Tea. so $450 around bout?
Honestly, i would keep 16GB…I have Windows running, surfing and hearing music and my system is eating 7 GB already. Ok RTX Voice eats 1 gb alone, but i think its very worth spending the bit extra money to have 16 GB.
yep, thanks
See if you can find an RX 550 for the same price, it outperforms the GT1030 in most games.
Or get a Ryzen 5 3400G and no GPU for now and get a better one down the road (if budget is that tight). The x400G APUs game pretty good.
I mean personally I only have 8gb myself as that cost £100 when i got it xD. And I can Game, with chrome and listen to fubar all at the same time. While having a 4k monitor on with audio reactive wallpaper engine on. If its just for surfing and gaming u really good and not much money to play with. It shows high usage as that is how windows works its meant to use around half of it as whats the point having it if its not being used.
My secondary rig only has 8GB (and 8GB VRAM ), when I build a new machine, I am going for 32 as I am scratching at the limit 20% of my computers run time.
Right now, sitting at an easy 10GB in use.
For sure Ima have alot more when I get a new one but I do more than gaming on mine tbh. Do rendering, blender shiz, Music creation and other ram heavy shit xD.

Ere u go mate, Bit over but should do u fine until u get more money and shouldnt have to really upgrade much else. Hard to find cheap mobos with SPDIF aparently but here bit over but should be much better board. None of the cheaper ones have it.
so with that motherboard is there no need for a graphics/video card?
Nah you plug straight in mate, That cpu has built in graphics. If and when u ever wanna upgrade you have tones of CPU choices to grab and then just add a GPU. That should be fine for wat u want
sounds great, thanks again!
NP happy to help.
