Let's talk about computers

Pretty much same thing but with PS. Plus have the order in for the game.
Can’t wait for the full reference audio, surround experience. :sunglasses: Audio > Graphics.
This is a audio forum in the end. Game and FPS happens in different (lower) level forums. :kissing_heart:

But I can have both so why not

IEM’s or headphones can’t and won’t cut it.
HT also needs to gooooooooood for the true experience. It’s possible of course.

HT is not something I can afford nor do I have space for unfortunately

Is this relevant right now?
I think this is relevant.

Yes, now and always relevant.

I might have to stick with my RX 580 for now, though it seems it is a good deal when you’ll be able to get the RTX 2080 Ti’s performance half the price with the 3070. Not anytime soon though, high-fidelity audio is already expensive enough let alone freaking PC Building.

I think new gen consoles will be able to run 120fps. But I assume not at 4k ultra, probably depends on game.

For first party games I can seen above a hundred frames @ 1440p and even 4k for games like Forza Xbox wise. But I’m at the camp of people where a new 2080ti level GPU will cost as cheap as the new consoles and I already have all the parts to support it. Don’t get me wrong though I’m probably gonna end up with a ps5 so I can play spiderman ,god if war and horizon zero dawn 2 regardless of what I do now. But being the nerd I am a PC upgrade right now is more important for what I wanna do

Well Sony just put out a report saying they’ll likely be bringing their stuff to PC anyway (though I doubt they will for Spiderman).

Originally I was thinking Nvidia was overstating the performance increase of the new cards by not explicating giving raster only performance numbers. But it’s looking like the hype may be real. The CUDA core counts are way higher this time around. They also demoed the 3080 on DOOM Eternal at 4K max settings today. DOOM doesn’t support DLSS or raytracing yet. The performance increase over a 2080 Ti is almost 50%! Gordon described it as this LOL

Nvidia just threw the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti under the bus and then backed over the body a couple of times just to be safe.

The Nvidia launch was insane cant lie, as do the videos ive seen, but as consumers all we can hope is that AMD has something SOMETHING up their sleeve. Very interested in this tweet…

on of the big reasons I bought horizon at launch is to support the sales numbers for sony to encourage them to get more games on PC

I found it funny that some people cough Hardware Canucks cough tried claiming this was AMD admitting defeat.

FF7 isn’t first party so that’s more due to the exclusivity contract, which is up in April next year. At least it’s not Activision, I’m still waiting on my damn Crash Team Racing remake. Ok, not that much, I still have the original on ePSXe.
