Only 2 days away from retirement as well.
To be fair I think that clip is from lethal weapon 1 and the x days away from retirement is from 3 or so.

Oh wow that’s way easier. Final E tips have always been a hassle to put on IEMs but they make the bass sound sooo good in a speaker-like boomy-but-not-too-boomy way

Hey can I check with you guys if I were to use M size tip on one side and S size tip on the other side, will it cause imbalance?
I realised that cp100 M size is more comfortable with better seal on one ear but it causes my other ear to get a little sore after longer duration. I don’t have any S size with me right now, so I don’t know if it’ll have a good seal on my “bigger” ear. I have a good deal to get 6 pairs at a discounted rate, so I’m not sure if I should get S or M size tips
You should be fine. Lots of people need different sizes. I did at start, but it seems my ears “normalized” to handle the same size on both.

Not really sure. At first I tried everything, but I knew nothing. I only cared about max seal but not insertion depth 
Also my ears feel different around the day. Happened to me before using L at night and then I wake up and only M fits 
But I kinda figured it out by now.

Difference recipes for different cakes. Everyone ears are different and every IEM as different insertion.
I usually prefer “deep” fiting, but not too deep like Etymotic lol. Like you said, I usually prefer smaller tips and deeper insertion with good seal. But that can only be done with some shells. Some shells can’t go deep enough, and for that you need longer tips with bigger size or more shallow.
I’m still messing around with stuff. I know my preferences and my prefered tips, now it’s about perfecting it

You would get more of an imbalance if one ear sealed and the other did not. Also the actual bore of the tip is the same on a small as it is on a large so it shouldn’t really effect it. Using different tips with different bore widths might cause issues though.

Well my Oracle has a fairly good chance of arriving today, but after watching an unboxing and double checking on Linsoul’s website, I am super glad I went ahead and bought a bunch of tips(sedna crystal, final e, radius deepmount) while a family member is visiting Japan, so I can get them from amazon jp without the crazy shipping, since the Oracle only comes with one set of silicone and a full set of foams(the only detail I completely overlooked). Thankfully I got some decent spare tips laying around in case the stock one doesn’t fit me
