Lets talk about your tips! ;)

Congrats! Let us know how you go!

They arrived!!! I’ll post some pics somewhere on here soon and give impressions! Got them 2 days earlier than shipping estimated hahaha

Congrats sir!

I’m unfortunately still in waiting room purgatory. All mine arriving on the 20th. Ugh.

Still the softest tips I’ve ever found and still my fav along with the EP-EX10A Sony know folks who make good tips :+1:

(Spins, Spirals and E type also get a nod)

I think those are the standard tips that come with Sony IER-Z1R.

Should be pretty similar (if not identical) to the EP-EX11.

Hey! Hahaha

I did just as much research on the Oracle as I did the Tea, and for retailing almost double, I was expecting at least a full silicone set of tips as well as the foams. My Oracle arrived yesterday btw, and I suffice to say that good gut feeling was totally 100% right, I am absolutely blown away and in love. Gave a few quick non-music impressions on BGGR’s thread, but those are coming once I listen to them a lot more

btw, not sure how common this is but judging from Linsoul’s pics, my left Oracle has a pretty damn close look if not an actual Clairvoyance faceplate hahaha pics will come soon

You better hope you don’t have a Clairvoyance faceplate on your Oracle shell.

Overlook anything?

Well the inside shell on both says Oracle, but you’ve owned both, you tell me haha

It’s on its way!

Why’s that?

I want to love the Xelastecs, but the sizing, durability and comfort is something to leave in the imagination because tbh, it’s a mixed-bag to me. Once you get it in your ear, no doubt it is one of the comfortable ones, it’s like you are wearing nothing, but the downside for me would be just trying to insert it in your ear for they are not that soft therefore not comfortable at first. Another one that disappoints me on the Xelastecs would be its sizing, I got the M sizes of it and they do not fit my ear from the get-go meaning you have to go down to at least MS or even S to those who have the standard M-size ear holes like me. Durability is an issue as well, for both of my MS tips got broken after heating it up back to shape, and to my surprise they are a bit fragile if you are not careful enough. My final gripe would be cleaning it for it is a pain in the ass to clean, you cannot use an alcohol to clean it therefore you have to settle with water and soap to clean it without any issues, but the problem is that, it still can look dirty after cleaning it up and it is also a dust and hair magnet so beware where you place it.

I think the usual Silicon tips that I use are still the better option, for the Xelastecs to me are too pricey, if they do some tweaks there and there it would be best for the value. If you like it, then more power to you since it works for you better and not for me. I wish I could love them but I can’t.

Here’s my newb experience tip rolling with the OH10. The set is known for its bass and sub bass. It’s dark side is the highs is up there too (a little to much for me). So I decided to look for iems to counter that a bit.

Comply and Dekoni are good. Both are comfy but the Comply kinda produced a more muffled pedal hits (RATM, particularly Take The Power Back and Testify) and it creates the ‘aircraft cabin’ effect for me. Dekoni tighten up the base at the benefit of not causing the previous effect.

Then I tried CP100. Its good and comfy too and tighten the lower end even further but it brings up the high slightly more. I like the bass but the high is kinda unbearable for me at this point.

Then I moved to JVC Spinfits. Shorter stem than the rest and has wider bore. Loving the effect on the OH10. It brings down the highs and tighten the base and sub base. I prefer it compared to all the tested tips mentioned here.

Because the Clarvoyance faceplate is considerably larger. They are not the same size.

Ahh fair enough. It fits perfectly flush in the shell, so not exactly a Clairvoyance faceplate. Though as you saw, one is more purple like what the pics on linsoul is, while the other is greener. Chances are it’s a faceplate just made from the Clairvoyance’s design resin stock. It is interesting though

You have an Oracle. Get the Clairvoyance idea out of your mind.

I’m not saying anything crazy like I got a left ear Clairvoyance and right ear Oracle in my box instead of an Oracle set. I’m only noting just the aesthetic of the faceplate being clairvoyance green and not oracle purple, nothing more

Every plate is kinda different, I think. It might have been some custom order that didnt went through, tho (since they had them on stock…)

No way the Z1R og tip shiz is different…
