I mean, if they’re purely silicone they should technically be good forever. Just wash them every now and then. We have some silicone kitchenware that we abuse the crap out of and it holds up for years so I can’t imagine silicone ear tips would ever “go bad”. 🤷🏻
Just got AZLA SednaEarfitLight (SEFL) and XELASTIC. SEFL is suupper wide bore - could drive a train through it. It’s much wider than Kbear07/Accoustone07. It’s wider than anything I have.
XELASTIC is less wide but still a wide bore, shorter stem. Cap is sticky plastic - not sure how I feel about this.
Might need to sell some of them. DM if interested
Love it when I swap tips and it’s like getting new IEMs. Even better when my expectations are low and I’m surprised. The best when it’s some old tips salvaged from a dead pair of bluetooth earbuds that were sitting around doing nothing.
I confirmed with Moondrop via email months ago, shortly after the Kato were released, that the spring tips would be available for purchase on Amazon. They couldn’t give me timing nor pricing, as they said there still sorting that out. Still waiting for them to drop.
They are available on shopee for like 8$. I bought them but I am still waiting to see if they are legit originals
So I always use foam tips but got sick of their relatively short lifespan and bought a bunch of silicone ones. Spinfit, final audio etc in various sizes too and in one ear they slowly or gradually slide out over time… is it me or do I just need to keep rolling lol
The medium sized ones from my Tanya’s fit no issues strangely and I like those.
that happens to me too and i own a pretty large tip collection, i’d rec stickier silicon, spinfit cp100+ work decently for that(specifically the + version, regular cp100s don’t stay in too well for me unless i go a size up), moondrop springs are decent too, you could try azla crystals but they’re unusually large for their sizes + super expensive and i didn’t find them too comfortable, there’s also the possibility that some nozzle lengths will just always be fucked for you too, nothing i did with moondrop arias for example made them comfy for me and i tried 30+ tip types
Cheers mate, that’s helpful information, will try out the ones you mentioned
Once done with my listening session while pulling out my mest OG from my ear canal, a few of the tips I own get stuck in my ear and get separated from the nozzle while pulling it out. Nice deep insertion !
I’ve really been enjoying Radius Deep Mounts lately. Have had them for a while but didn’t really give them a proper go until a few days ago. Only thing that keeps them from reaching Final Type E tier for me, is that the “seam” is noticeable in the ear, whereas the Final E’s are completely smooth. Also I feel there really ought to be a size in between XS and S. It’s quite a jump in both width and length/depth.
All that said, they are more secure with some sets. Final’s haven’t worked for everything.
Great recommendation from @rattlingblanketwoman my new favorite tips:
ePro Regular Series EP00 horn shaped tips
I’ve found they’re not a solve-all, it depends what characteristics you’re starting with before putting these on, but for some sets they bring about the perfect change in sound/fit. I’m so cautious spending money on tips (very expensive for what they are, never sure if the right size is being ordered when it comes to the priciest makes like Azla etc) but I don’t regret these.
Hi, guys. Sorry if it’s already been posted somewhere in the thread, but I just could not find it. I tried, honestly.
Where can I look up the info (i.e. diameter and lenght of the tips themselves in various sizes, bore and stem diameter ) on the Radius Deep Mount tips? Also, how stiff is their inner tube?
I’m looking for tips for my Moondrop Variations to improve both fit and sound. I’ve tried SpinFits CP155 but didn’t like the sound that much - a bit too warm and softened overall, with a smaller stage vs the stock tips. The stock tips are already too dark and congested for my liking, unless I push them further than they are supposed to sit on the nozzle - to reduce the distance between the nozzle and opening of the eartip. The result looks and feels a bit weird, but provides optimal sound for me as well as a surprisingly decent fit. The biggest problem is that this screws up the glue-on filters and giving up on using those is not an option I’m willing to consider for a few reasons, if only as the last resort.
I’m also considering the CP500 tips, but am skeptical of those due to their internal structure which might contribute to a bigger distance between the eartip’s opening and the IEM’s nozzle. In my experience this has proven to be a detrimental factor for the resulting sound “quality”. I also don’t like the CP155 with regards to their sound, as I’ve already mentioned, and those are pretty similar in bore wideness and lenght, but maybe a slightly different shape and stiffness of the silicone will make a noticeable difference towards a bit more bright and “open”/“wide” sound. I believe it’s the combination of great length and very pronounced conic shape resulting in a deeper fit, as well as very soft silicone used for the inner core that make CP155 sound the way they are.
Ola amigos, does anybody have a recommendation for a set of tips which is known for increasing or at least preserving the best possible bass impact?
Final E are for sure contenders
Muchas gracias amigo! I will have a look!
For my FH3 i am perfectly happy with the AZLA Xelastec tips but on the Kinda Lava the exact same tip feels a bit too big and uncomfortable after a while so i went back to the stock tips which actually fit pretty good but not perfect…also the bass could use a slight boost.
Ordered the Azla tips one size smaller now and will also order the final E to find the perfect match because the kinda lava is definitely a keeper
Did you receive yours already?
Yes, I did!
uuuuuuuh nice, have fun bro, really curious about your firs impressions
lol I am an idiot, i have already read this before and forgot about it again Thanks for sharing it again anyway
