I always think of the best bass tips as Final E or Spinfit CP100
Wide bore tips let all the treble out, the bass always gets out, so typically narrow bore tips are good for bass. I find foam dulls the bass for me, in weird ways, so I avoid it. I know some people like it, if you shorten them, which puts less foam in the way of the sound.
I compared the azla Sedona earfit long (MS) and the spinfit cp100 (L) on my Mele set.
With spinfit I get more slam, more impact on sub-bass
With Sedona, I get more upper mids, but I also get a lot more bass/mid-bass. I get it so much that it disturbs me on a listening session. It even tire my ears.
Some people Bragg about them hearing 18kHz and above, being treble sensitive and all that. I can now Bragg about me being bass sensitive
Anyone know any silicon tips that donāt get slippery? I prefer non foam tips but every silicon one I use gets wet and slippery in under an hour for me
The quick fix would be non-silicone tips (i.e. foamies or TPE tips like the Xelastecs or Azla Sednaearfit Crystals) but we also need to figure out what is causing this issue. Can you narrow down if itās just moisture, earwax, oil from your skin or a combination? You may need to change your earcare/skincare regimen for your ears to help alleviate this. You could also clean your tips semi-regularly with topical isopropyl alcohol and see if that helps mitigate the issue.
moondrop spring/azla crystal will be your default, i have super wet earwax and these are the only silicons i can use without having to take them out, iād rec the springs over the crystals because of how annoying it is to find the right size in the latter + chu comes with all 3 sizes, cp100+ works too but not as grippy and can be annoying to find besides on amazon.jp
