@Sonofholhorse is correct, the Fat Earth is a modded S12 with the focus on Basshead Planar with extreme 3D staging. The work he was gonna do with the XSL X-One (which has the OG DM driver) is I believe on hold cause he wants to 3D print his own shells
been trying to get in touch with MB (without success) for a while now. like that he’s not eager to grab peoples money, but would definitely like a Glamdring.
His discord is probably the best place for you to hail him, or DM him via Discord.
do you know his user name on discord?
@redeyes0420
thanks man, you’d never guess it; tried michaelbruce don’t know who got that friends request lol
Another Stoner thats why we hear things so fluidly!
If you didn’t catch MB’s RedEyes 420
Anybody else try to make their own glamdring modded s12. I saw in the IEM discussion thread that comfylife did it to their z12 and was thinking if anybody else tried to make their own.
Been thinking about grabbing some parts when the aliexpress 11/11 sale comes around or whatever sale when I pick up other stuff, is this basically what you need? And like tweezers of course. Dont really know how long exactly imma have to cut the tubing.

is that that the Glamdring? thought there is more to it than that
I think he mentioned something else about having to open the back off the iem and adjusting some things to make it more consistent but that this is the basic thing that is modded out the front vent. Removing the back is pretty difficult but he shows how to do it in his TOTL s12 mod video. No clue what he does to when he takes off the back shell but it could be driver position or dampening.
There is but it’s his own secret, he wants to start his own brand. More power to him!
If I understood correctly there, he’s saying that on some units the drivers aren’t glued into place properly, so you get an improper seal between the front and back of the driver causing driver imbalance between L/R. So, open them up and give each a touch-up on their glue. Not sure what glue would be best for that, but probably the stuff you use to replace phone screens would be an okay option.
Did you end up trying any mods? I’m also curious.
I ended up doing the mod that he described in the glamdring video a few months ago. I bought 5x5mm low density foam along with this tube for the mods. To pry off the small grill in the front I use a small carving knife I have and then placed it like he said in the video.
In my time since doing that I have found it to be pretty good overall from the original. The original has a high peak and is kinda rocky in the presentation in that area but the mod pulls it down. A side effect to the mod is that it also brings down the upper mids as well making for a more pulled back experience but still there. The bass is still overall kinda is the same but it kinda more exposed since the top has been pulled down. Overall easy mod to improve it but if you like a more engaging top end don’t do it.
