I am from Tabasco, Mexico, previously I was the happy owner of the shouer S12, so the decision to acquire the Z12 to keep something that was already especially good as a collection was easy, that painting on the metal is very well achieved. The package although simple is neat with the striking image of the headphones in those beautiful cherry red and blue colors, cable and accessories are of very good quality as expected from this update. After carrying out a burn of approximately 150 hours, I can say again that the sound of the Z12 is rich in medium frequency, very present and clean, the voices are clear and transparent, the male voices excellent as well as the female ones; the high frequency has good extension the treble that gives it excellent detail, with a precise sound, for my taste they are at the exact point and, although the low frequencies were well represented in the original S12, now that in this Z12 version they gave it a touch of adjustment for good, it is perceived that it has a precision and forcefulness in the bass and sub bass, which of course is appreciated for my taste, that clarity and cleanliness of the tombs are truly notorious since it rounds off the entire sound.
The Z12 have a sound that makes you smile because of their quality, acoustic separation, air and the instrumental placement is really noticeable, in general a well detailed sound I feel very satisfied with these Shouer Z12.
Now as for the shopping experience with the HIFIGO company, it could not be more satisfactory, a professionally attended store, it is by far one of the best. My order arrived well packaged, 2 weeks and it is without a doubt one of my favorite stores.
I got mine a few weeks ago. I’m not going to do a full review. However, I will say I’m loving them. I’m using Dekoni tips. Compared to my Tin T4s they are clearer. My T4s are more bassier throughout tracks, but my Z12s hit the bass right where it needs it. Instruments and vocals are great too. I love the red and blue colors. Now back to getting high with music.
That’s the set i’m getting, I wish it came with the headphone model included! I’m sure if she was around the house it would improve the listening experience.
HiFiGo seems to be a really good company, they are going the extra mile to help me with my order, and their customer service is very responsive to help requests!
If anyone has any worries about ordering, I have had a great experience so far working with them on my order placed through amazon.
Minor sadness, I was expecting my Z12’s to arrive today, went to the post office to pick it up as package tracking said it had arrived. Instead I discovered that the post office had lost my package somehow. so they are looking for it now. I’ll be checking with them over the next couple days to see if it turns up. I hope it arrives! I was really looking forward to trying out the Z12’s =/
yar, i’m going back into the post office again today to see if they have found the package. if not i’ll probably have to let the company know and see if we can get a claim filed somehow.
huzzah! The post office guys found the missing package =) Now I get to try out the z12’s!..
…
if I can figure out how to wear these things >.> (never used iem’s before)
Interwebs! halp learn me good iem procedure!
Just the tip eh? (Eye’s dekoni’s tip)
No funny business mister! Eye’ve got my eye on you!
ok, honest question here, are ‘good’ iem’s supposed to sound anything similar to good full sized headphones?> I’m trying to compare these to Argon’s, and the argons are stomping all over them with giant - sized combat boots. it feels like a professional wrestler fighting a toddler. (of course, argon’s tend to do that with most things, so maybe it’s a bad comparison?)
It’s just not anywhere near the same experience. am I wearing these wrong somehow?
The nature of iems it’s hard to get that giant sound but in my limited iem experience the Z12s do a decent job of sounding big with a good sealing ear tips.
With that said the only iem I’ve use that sounds like an over ear is Audeze i3. They are a huge 30mm open back planar that to me sounds like a mini LCDX.
Maybe but just remember it’s going to be really intimate sounding because the driver is right in your ear. For me the stage of the Z12 is just on the outside of my ears like a sphere around my head.
