Jeff Beck rocks!
Friday, sweet Friday. And man, I am starting with a good one tonight! This is the album that started the legend that is Billy Cobham. This is his debut āSpectrumā
And the rest as they say, is History. To me, this was kind of advanced for 1973! So good. Rock on, peopleā¦
I had to play this one again.
I love the fact that he is such a good guitar player. There is an honest and beautiful energy on every track. The recording is so clean. You barely hear a finger mark. Itās funny how you can connect to a collection of music. It takes me back.
I woke up this fine August 17th morning to my youtube feed presenting me with a memorable concert from 35 years ago nearly to the dayā¦
For those who donāt know Kim Mitchell is a beloved local musician from Ontario Canada that had a slew of Canadian hits on the radio with his band Max Webster then later as Kim Mitchell as shown in this 1 hr. Concert videoā¦
I also saw Max Webster in Toronto in 1978 as the first act for the Genesis And Then There Were Three tourā¦ They were followed by Phil Collins jazz fusion side project Brand X, then closing with Genesis, or what was left of themā¦
Some of you Yanks might remember some of these Kim Mitchell classics as they were anthems for a lot of us young Canadians at the timeā¦
I hope you take the time to watch the whole concert as these musicians were quite talented with numerous local Canadian hitsā¦Playing light hearted songs that shout --Summer Party Musicā¦
Lots of fond memoriesā¦Particularly the ballad-- All We Are ā @31:36 ā¦Which brought a joyful tear to my eyesā¦
Breaking in the Titans nicely
I liked this, and some other tracks I found looking him upā¦ I was confused because all I previously recognized his name from before was Earthquake with Tiny Tempah Quite a different vibe!
Speaking ofā¦ although itās not something I would have personally listened to at the time, this felt pretty nostalgic to listen to now!
Have been going through some of my industrial music recently and stumbled on on of my favorite artists of the genre, Front Line Assembly. I particularly like how they blend elements of both EBM and industrial rock.
I have been enjoying the Pula PA02 this evening. I figured it was time to really test them
Iām playing the CD and Iām lovin it. They are presenting the music in a slightly different way. The clarity and detail are remarkable, yet they are so engaging and musical. Iām enjoying these IEMs more and more. Itās a great experience.
