Tom Tom Club samples with Mariah punctuated highs on a fresh set of Martilos. First set developed a bad tweet in the right side but this set seems good

Can I Kick It? w/Lou Reed’s ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ - A Tribe Called Quest

Paper Planes / Straight to Hell - M.I.A. / The Clash!

A surprisingly good soundtrack. The movie wasn’t too bad, either.

Another top 10 of mine. Side 2 is sublime

I’m in a reflective mood tonight. So much going on in my head. This is tasting good right now

So what’s got me so bothered you might ask? Well… I have decided to retire. It feels so strange still to say it. Even stranger to write it! But yeah… I’m done. Well, not quite yet! October 17 will be my last day. Been workin since I was 12, and now, I’m calling it a career… Hmmmph. So much change comin. So much to do… I’m ready for it. Time to go fishin and riding for pleasure, man. Life is too short. :sunglasses:

Two excellent new tracks by Burial

Burial’s back on Hyperdub, and he’s taking us deep into the fog. His new two-tracker Comafields / Imaginary Festival is a moody, ghost-ridden return to the haunted beauty that made us fall for him in the first place.

Comafields” stretches across 12 immersive minutes – all crackle, swirling synths, and distant, aching voices. It’s pure atmosphere – like wandering alone at 3am with nothing but memories for company. Flip to “Imaginary Festival” and its Burial in full spacious, spectral mode: warped chords, grainy textures, and distant vocal cries that feel like echoes from an event you never quite made it to. Listen below.

It’s Saturday night, I feel like cutting loose! Gonna spin up some Spock’s Beard because why not.

Started out tonight with the HE1000, gonna switch to the Horizon Closed Carbons in a minute. :ok_hand:t2:

Gonna finish strong with one of my current favorite listens.

Guy opens Ain’t Done With the Blues with “Hooker Thing,” an acoustic number set to John Lee Hooker’s signature “Boogie Chillen.” “That’s one of the first things I ever learned how to play man,” he shares with a laugh at the song’s end.

I saw Buddy, Jimmy Vaughn and Charlie Musslewhite 6-8 years ago. His was a kick and quick wit keeping the audience on their toes with his quips, innuendos and strategic cursing. Glad to hear he’s still kickin’ and rockin his Fenders.
