Looking for a closed back with good Bass

Thank you! My desk setup is my pride and joy, I just 3D printed those hooks my headphones are hanging from on the wall. Hoping to set up a nice little headphone wall when the Elegia’s get here, I’ll post some more pictures once they are here

bruuuuuuuhhhh omg I love that, actual headphone heaven right there… is that an lttstore.com water bottle v2 I see :smirk:

Na its a lot fancier than it looks, most of my daily used headphones are on the right side though i rotate quite a bit.

As far as the water bottle Its a V1 but i bought the cap when it came out (it only costs 5 bucks if you had the V1)

I see you’ve got the He400se on the right side, those were my first “audiophile” headphone and it still blows me away the detail I get out of those. They are what truly got me hooked on this hobby lol

Oh I have a V1 I should totally reach out and get a $5 lid lol Imma do that tomorrow

There are only two legit choices these days for the best open-back headphones under $200 – HiFiMan HE-400se or Sennheiser HD 560s.

I would feel like a liar or a cheat if I recommended anything else.

It honestly completely changed how I view, listen to an overall understand music

I think the 58X is also a solid option for overall listening
Also Grado SR80e is an interesting addition to most collections, very unique sound

I am not a Sennheiser fan, but for the money, I think the HD58X’s are a great little headphone.

Congrats! I am currently trying to sell my MT-602 and having no luck!

why you selling it

he got a big tube amp recently

Congratz, hope you enjoy them…
PS you got a great setup man, just clean up the cables man, it hurts my OCD :stuck_out_tongue:
PSS - get some speaker stands frees up more space and brings the speakers to ear level

Didn’t really do anything for me, sound wise. I was shocked that it was half decent with my HiFiman HE6se V2’s.
And most of my headphones are very efficient so I had to use a preamp with it.

And so I moved on to a different amp.

I really need speaker stands, any recommendations? And I’ve been in denial about my cables for so long lol this fall I’m moving to a new space so I keep telling myself when I put my setup back together when I move, I will manage the cables properly then lol

It depends on the size of your speakers (a bit hard to tell but i think that’s a 5inch?)

There are some really nice ones you with adjustable high stand that you can mount to your desk if you really want to minimize the footprint i couldnt find ones in white so i opted for the Kanto’s stands (mine are 4inch - so i got the Kanto SE2W)

they are 5.5 inches , they are surprisingly heavy tho being made of solid birch wood, about 20 pounds each, white or black stands would be ideal for my setup

Then you probably need a “heavy duty” stand, like the Kanto SE6 but there are plenty of them around if you want something else

Those are great stands. Seen them in person and they are very sturdy and well built (assuming you have enough room on your desk to fit them, which is not the case at all for me at this time).
