I mean the kefs won’t have a huge issue either since it’s nearfield
This is a tough decision haha. Maybe I’ll just say f*** it and get both hahah
I guess you could if you made sure you could return them both for any reason
I should also say that I think the 530 is the better all rounder as well
Ah, also I think the 530 would have better resale value if that matters
Yeah with everything that’s been said I’m leaning more towards the 530s, I just gotta make sure they fit in my space. Would they also be better for a bigger room? If I decided to move them to my living room in the future?
I think they perform well in both a room and nearfield, where I think the kefs work better nearfield if the room isn’t ideal
Gotcha, so yeah again leaning towards the 530s. If they fit, that’s the winner.
Welp, now the wait begins lol. I hope it’s worth it when you get them
I’m sure I’ll be very pleased, but even if I’m not, their return policy is awesome. Couldn’t pass it up.
Finally arrived. Made them fit on my tiny folding table desk, I am genuinely impressed. Can’t wait to crank the volume up a bit tomorrow.
Let us know the results when you give them a little more time. I like that Emotiva amp you got there too, I got the same one. That amp is fantastic.
Curious to see how you think they stack up
Well the very first thing I noticed last night only playing at lower volumes was that with no no position adjustments whatsoever, just plopping them on my desk, it sounds like the sound is coming out from the center of my monitor, dead center.
Yeah that design is pretty forgiving of positioning
Beautiful speakers too
They are definitely pretty.
So far I can say that I’m just impressed in every way with these. Been playing with crossover frequencies, right now I’m at 125, seems pretty good there, still going to play with it a bit more. I want to get the minidsp measurement microphone so I can try out room correction for them.
