I mean most cables will work, the reason I suggested oem is that they are pretty much going to work without a hitch and most aftermarket cables in that length tend to get pricey. But there are lots of options for an aftermarket or custom cable. I would just go oem in this case to insure everything works and also to keep costs down
Ok sounds good. I think the stack I bought won’t have an issue with length but just in case
Ok…I have officially gone insane. I just placed my order for the 4xx’s too…I don’t even know why…lol
Lets gooooo, I hope you really enjoy both
Lol yes! Small head and I’m treble-sensitive!
Also @Orishnu you worry way too much, that’s not modding… that’s literally a five-second headband fit. The left and right headband parts are thin metal and bend easily if needed. Also for the cable, it’s 6 or 6.5ft.
Huh my crappy tape measure has lied to me lol
melon head gang represent
Lol! DIY Audio Heaven says 1.8 meters so 5’10", so it’s supposed to be around 6’. Oh well maybe there are different cables too!
It’s a crappy hotel tape measure I don’t have much faith in it lol
Can vouch for the sennheiser adapter there. I use it to connect an aeolus to my lg v20. Feels super solid.
Cool thanks for the follow-up on your experience. I’ll be sure to post mine once it all comes in. I’m planning on trying it with and without the amp and dac just to get a feel for the differences and maybe help steer people in the appropriate direction who start in a similar place to me. I’m also going to try to run my Logitechs off the amp to see if that makes them any better
That’s funny when you don’t trust things like measuring tapes. I remember having a 1ft ruler being like a quarter of an inch shorter than others… Also that digital clock I bought at the dollar store which was 15 minutes faster after one month.
Oh well!
Yesssssssssssss!! You did good lol
Lol are you looking for validation of your own choices? Cause iirc you did the same and they arrive in the next couple days…
Nope lol, it’s just like this we are both in it together lol. I don’t even have them yet so I have nothing to validate but air haha
Actually bought mine a day or two before that day if I remember correctly, in theory they will arrive tomorrow. Both the 58x and 4xx, I’m curious about both. Let the hype begin lol
Well let me know your experience and when mine come in I’ll post mine too
Did cables I would avoid oem cables as they tend to be no better then cheap 3rd part cables sold at a premium. And if took issue with the default cable then the oem cable will prob have the same issue with it. I’m looking at you 90 degree Huffman cable jack. If a high quality cable is something you want look to hart audio cables.
The main restricting factor and the reason I say the oem cable (which I rarely do) is the 10ft length requirement. An aftermarket 10 ft cable is more expensive than the oem in my experience. Just trying to keep costs down as the stock cable is pretty decent imo
There is this
But this cable actually isn’t that great from my experience
I saw that when I checked out the earlier links you provided. I kinda assumed there was some reason you didn’t recommend that one since it was slightly cheaper and it was recommended by amazon as an alternative. If I find that I need new cables I’ll ask again, but for now I think the stock cables are probably going to be fine for me
