I’d still get a D10 if you like the form factor. The D10 is also a newer model than the D30.

Well, I think you would start to consider stuff like the smsl su8 or topping d50s, and it just goes up from there. For your case I think it’s pretty overkill though unless you wanted the extra features
I can vouch for the D50 since I’ve been using it for half a year already, but it’s quite a jump in price.
It also depends on if you are willing to buy used or not. I recently got a Geshelli Labs Enog2 Pro for $75.00.

Yeah, it really was. And so far, I prefer this DAC over the D50 (sound wise). Form factor wise, the D50 was a sexy looking beast.

Well there is an increase in sound quality too (I may have forgot to say that lol), it just gets smaller amounts of increase as you go up
you get more features the higher the price go as well as better base component and chips. cost wise the SMSL M100 has more features then the D10 at $10 lower price. But the D10 by technicality has a better sound score 104 vs 107 IIRC not enough to matter wither way.
I end up preferring the sound of the d10, but the m100 is also a fine choice
I haven’t heard the M100, but it uses the AKM4452 DAC chip, which has been around a while and is tried and true. I also like the unique form factor of the M100.
Yeah, I’m selling a couple of things so that I can eventually buy another set of ZMF headphones. I currently own the Atticus but want to buy an Auteur to compliment it.
I think the d10 is a bit higher resolving tbh, and a more cleanly signature that I think is better for the price, but honestly they are so close
