Also checking it does seem that the 3.5mm works as a line out mode btw. Although I can’t tell for sure if I’m actually using line mode with the 3.5mm, but it seems to function fine and doesn’t sound like double amping to my ears (I can pretty easily tell the difference between headphone mode and line mode for the 4.4)
I have no idea, you do have a preamp mode so perhaps??? But that sounds a bit risky to me

This works from Single-Ended into Balanced. The other way round, you need a “level converter” (or DI-Box in reverse).
Also for reference I use a cable like this to go from the dual 3 pin to rca typically to convert bal to se for dacs into single ended amps

Yes, which is exactly why I though bal signal → se line was a no-go. You certainly can’t return the negative signal over a shared bal negative terminal without shorting afterall.
When you say se into balanced, you mean a se output over a balanced cable, right? Cause if so, thats the only of the options I thoyhht was ok to do. I had been reading basicaky everywhere that any other conversion was just a no-go
Hmm. No talk of pinout. Unless it uses a return line over the shield pin idk how it would work. Are 3-pin RCAs maybe wired typicalt with 3rd pin as a propper Ground to be used bal or se as opposed to just a shield pin?
Either way, just got home and got the p6p outputting into the micro BL over se LO and it seems to be doing quite well

Single ended into Balanced is fine, for device interconnets and head-amp to headphone.
It’s “safe” to go balanced to SE with either a pentagon connection or 3 pin XLR, because they have a ground, and you can just drop -ve in most cases. You do need to check the cables are designed to do that though.
It is not safe to do it from a 4 pin XLR connector, because there is no ground, and wiring ground on the SE connector to -VE on the XLR will short the amp.

What i had always read was dual XLR and 4.4 made it “possible” not “safe”. Where as 2.5 and 4-pin XLR make it just not even possible
I think I like the micro BL more as an amp than I do as a portable…
EDIT: Vol control with the P6P is way better than vol control with the Micro BL
As you know, every system is about balance. I feel genuinely bad for this interconnect taht I am treating it with such utter disrespect
A few things to note as I use the device more.
The case is just terrible where I just use it without lol, I’ll take the risk if I don’t have to deal with the case
Good to know, I’ve only tested battery life driving iems so far and I’ve gotten 14 ish hours with medium efficiency iems. Also surprising that it lasted that long including bluetooth usage as that’s typically a battery sap in LDAC
And then like 30 min to warm up fully lol

Brave brave man. I dont even run my phone without a case and its like 1/8th yhe price. Think ima look into just making one myself. The pattern seems fine at least, so I may just copy it and use propper materials. Need to probabaly get a different hyde though. Maybe see if I can get a couple pieces of Shell Cordovan. With mest + iematch (this is working great btw. Not sure i even hear any sq loss, but uts tough to volume match back and forth to know for sure) on mixed local and LDAC, i get a comfortable 8 hours with 1/4 battery left before I charge. Do not though, yoy can abuse the fuck out of this battery. Got a hifiman 4.4 from a buddy until mine arrives in a few more days. Ldac + arya (actualy run surprisingly well btw. Obviously not enough amp, but realy admirable given the rated power output) and I was under 1/4 battery in under 4 hours
I haven’t been paying much attention to warm up tbh. Maybe I need to try some critical listening first thing tomorrow morning and see whats missing. Not entierly guessing my ears are that good tbh, but seems like a fun try either way.
I seriously seriously want to see impressions of the LP6 Ti vs P6P. It would seem the LP6 Ti may actuaky be better given LPs comments about it, but I can’t find fucking any English impressions on it

Gotcha, yeah the arya is pretty demanding, but with some of the more efficient headphones it really drives them well to where I might not want a portable amp with it
Been talking to someone who has both at this point (not the ti though), he personally feels like for iems the Pro is on par or slightly better than the LP6 and as a line out dac about equally good, but the LP6 has an upper hand for full size headphones due to it’s amp section. Would really like to try a LP6 myself lol. The Ti is on another level though to both (apparently from what I’ve heard)

Earbuddy has a different impedance mix (2.5 ohm output and I want to say 15 ohms on the amp side), provides less attenuation, and is made with lower quality parts. Also can’t be balanced
