Luxury Precision P6/P6 Pro R2R DAP

No I don’t have the c9. Tbh im porbabaky going to wait until they drop down to around 1k. That said, i was under the impression it was more of on the level of the bx2+ than the 428

Anyone here gotten a chance to try LP6 or LP6 Ti extensively yet? Realy want to know how it stacks up if I’m honest

I think the C9 is a step up from the BX2+, and much more versatile with a lower (but not non-existent) noise floor. BX2+ has a little more slam and higher gain, so usable volume pot range tends to be a bit less. I haven’t heard the 428 to compare, though.

My understanding of the LP6 and LP6 Ti is that they trade blows with the P6P, but have a somewhat different tuning and are geared a little more toward harder to drive stuff with the more stout amp section. Haven’t heard either, tho, so take with a grain of salt.

Yah, I do expect it to be above the bx2+, I guess my question is just is it enough of a step i would be satisfied with it. Tbh, im realy lamenting yhe limitation of portable sq currently on the d8000P. The 428 finally feels like they aren’t being held back too much, but the dryer nature can just get to be too much on a can that already has fairly high grebble energy. Once the C9 is down to ~ 1k ill 100% jjst grab one bjt I think ima hint for a demo before then. I am also currious how well it woukd work on the portable bakoon. IIRC the voltage drive mode on that thing is a bit on the sweeter side which may be what I’m looking for, but again, I don’t think it’s up to 428 level from comparisons I’ve read.

I actualy ask because one of the guys in a telegram im in had p6p and lp6 and says that while they may have similar detail and texture the lp6 realy just shits all over the p6p in extension, air, and stage size (my 3 main complaints with p6p tbh). I’ve already got my spot reserved for an lp7ti, but thats over a year out so I’m trying to find a second opinion before I jump on another 4k dap (also currious about hm1000 post PS fix if anyone knows)

Reckon there’ll be a few more R2R Daps options appearing over the next year or so maybe hold fire?

I saw someone claiming that the new SP2000t is close to the LP6 but I remain sceptical until someone I trust actually tries one

I believe M0n talked about the Bakoon a bit further up in the thread, but from a technicality perspective it sounds like the 428 sits pretty solidly at the top if the tuning agrees with you.

On the P6P/LP6(Ti), I don’t personally know anyone who’s heard them to compare, but from what I’ve read, the P6P and LP6 are roughly equivalent with tuning differences, and the Ti is a step up. I didn’t even know there was a queue for the LP7Ti…where can I get more info?

Tbh I’m not super help up on r2r. I do like the NOS sound in general but have nothing against ds if something better comes out

That is another one on my radar for sure. Pribabaoy going to pick one up as soon ad they are on the used market just to try it

Yah, thats my understanding as well. At the very least of what I have it realy is in a tier of its own.

It came up in some emails with musictech so I just asked to put my name down nd they said no issie

Not really that I have heard yet, perhaps the xi broadway but that’s a stretch to call that portable

I would say the mass kobo is a step ahead but the c9 is still pretty compelling

:+1:

From a friend who has both, he thinks the dacs are on equal level but amp wise the ti has better space and treble clarity, also drives harder things better, but he’s hesitant to say it’s worthwhile depending on the things you are driving
