@nymz I pm you and coming from someone who trusted a complete stranger ill vouche for him, he knows what he is talking about when it comes to the Teas. They are a great set of iems and for my very very diverse library ranging from classical to opera all the way up to stuff like edm techno to metal and death metal these do not slack. Sure are some song a little less âbassyâ but doesnât mean the track doesnât sound well represented in a way the Teas do it. Drums guitars bass guitars and vocals period on the Teas are fantastic by far but what I have noticed from just starting out in this hobby everyone has a sound there chasing if there really into it and I would recommend Teas all day everyday in the price range for sure 100% happy customer heređ€
At work, gonna get to it in a moment. Sorry, read it all and forgot to reply >_>
Your good
Youâve lost me there - but you obviously hear the Teas very differently to me so if something else works better for you then all good. (By the way, not every sentence needs an exclamation mark(s) - we get the point )
The Oracle is a clear tier upgrade over the Tea.
Tea or Oracle, Tea or Oracle, Tea or Oracle, Tea or Oracle, Tea or Oracle, Tea or Oracle, Tea or Oracle, Tea or Oracle???
Gaaaaaah Decisions decisions decisions!
Itâs so hard to just go and try being âOne and doneâ even if I gotta squeeze out just a bit more for it.
Different leagues. One has double the price and a 2 month queue.
The other does wonders for 300usd.
Oracle are straightly better than Teas, ofc. But comes with some perks, tho Also, if itâs your real IEM, I donât recommend going straight into 500+usd.
Thereâs a marketplace called Lazada thatâs like an AE equivalent over here they have the Oracle listed but out of stock, but they do have the Clairvoyance, Monarch, Tea, Xenns, in stock and WTF EVEN MELE???
. . .
Actually just did a quick look and they are DD Audio and are also well known store on AE But it does look like they keep a unit or two in stock
DD audio = linsoul.
TA tribids have a 1.5/2 month queue for a while, now.
WaitâŠREALLY???
Yap. The queue was already there for clair and monarch, since they were pilars to enter the tribid range, they had a 1 month queue. Then they released the oracle and excalibur for 200 usd less⊠You can see where this is going.
Tribid wars are here to stay. Im getting a new tribid, but im avoiding TA because of that, sadly.
WelpâŠGuess Iâm gonna have to hold out for the Tea and hopefully theyâll blow me away to forget about tribrids for a few years. I really hope Danâs review and sound demos come out soon so I can get a preview of the Teas before they arrive and I demo them myself
And possibly hope that no one snatches up that MEST mkII from that one guy until I can buy them myself hahahaa
Ha, ha - yep, rabbit hole - didnât you start off considering the Aria?
I did, but Danâs review of the Aria and listening to the Tribrids like the Xenns and the MEST they just absolutely blew me away. Clarity, resolution, seperation they were all just WOW. Iâve always used cheap in ear earphones that were pretty bass heavy and well at the time they were okay, not bad, I came from using apple buds so okay okay. But like I went into more details in my little thread but the âSolid Bassâ hi-res IEMs that I have as a spare just arenât for me but more balanced to balanced warm. I didnât know or realize just how much of a difference technicalities could make so hence why when a little rainfall of fortune arrived I went up a price tier
Youâre thinking way too ahead of time. Demo Teas first, see what you think of them, take out some conclusions.
Or buy something cheap in the meanwhile like Mele
Mele is gonna be out of stock for a while tho, also technically a friend is gonna help with buying the Tea as like a cumulative birthday gift from over the years, so canât totally spend on cheaper iems in the meantime because broke college student
Sorry Iâm getting confused, you were just talking about 550-700 usd tribids
Teas will get you very far. Spending double wonât give you double the sound. Dimishing returns are real.
Exactly. Any of these sets could be anyoneâs endgame, they are the best in their particular category. It just depends if you want to spend the kind of money each tier requires.
This is why I have my Tier list for you guysâŠ
The IEM everyone should have - Blon BL03
My favorite IEM around $100 - Fiio FH3
Best Starter IEM - LZ A7. Find your preferred tuning.
TIER1 Best IEMs around $300 - Mangird Tea, Moondrop Blessing 2, TANCHJIM Oxygen
TIER2 Best IEMs around $500 - $700 - Safe tuned - Thieaudio Clairvoyance/Oracle, Xenns Up - Subbass tuned - Thieaudio Monarch, Moondrop Variations
TIER3 Endgame - Unique Melody MEST MKII - Authentic audiophile replay at itâs finest.
Yes, any Thieaudio tribid is made to order and takes at least a month to make. Take a look at their product pages, youâll find those items are pre-order items.
I waited to have every one on my Thieaudio tribrids made for me.
No offense to Dan, but critically judging an IEM through that system is silly. Why not take the advise of someone who owns them all and is not being paid off by companies to shill their products?
But youâre talking about buying a MEST???
Pfft Sorry about that but I guess âBrokeâ should be in quotations. If I really wanted I can get the 1100$ MEST mkII right now, but thatâs gonna literally empty my bank account. And itâs been drilled into my head to âBuy the best you within your meansâ and âBuy quality, buy once. Buy cheap, buy twiceâ
Hell it took me like a good 3-4 months of research to buy a good âafforableâ pair of Japanese chef knives for the house, both of which added to about the same price as the Tea. And honestly couldnât be happier with them and will probably use them until Iâm old and crockety
