šŸ”¶ Mangird TEA (6 BA/1DD)

Appreciate you letting me know. Iā€™m in a similar boat. Iā€™m returning a different IEM and asking for a replacement. Linsoul is having me cover the return cost, and theyā€™re only willing to reimburse what I paid up to $10 (and thatā€™s only if the IEM actually has the issue I noticed).

Mighjt be a little late to the party but I really enjoyed the Tea! Thought it was a very capable set!

Iā€™ve been listening to the Mangird Tea with a 20 Ohm impedance adapter, out of my DF Cobalt. The DFC has plenty of power to run it with a 20 Ohm (or even a 100 Ohm) adapter. Iā€™m really liking it! Soundstage and imaging donā€™t appreciably diminish to me, and the sound is more full, with more overall bass. The bass is still very clean and resolving. The mids sound just as amazing, but maybe with a little more intimate vocals, and little thickness added. Treble remains very clear, sparkly, and well extended. I really like the Tea with a 20 Ohm adapter, and it is a great complement to the MEST.

Would totally rec this cable for the Tea. I think the soundstage is even better now.

Just got my hands on the Mangird after listening to so many positive things on this thread and on BGGAR, so I thought that I will write some of my first impressions here. I will admit that Iā€™m not the biggest fan of Chi-fi, but I found a used pair for sale so I jumped at it. I have had bad experiences with Chi-fis with their horrendous tuningsā€“and that due to personal reasons I try to avoid buying them from retail, and even if I do Iā€™ll buy it second hand.

And I will say that this is a very compelling IEM for the price! I wasnā€™t sure what I expected, but it was a pleasant surprise. My current EDC IEM is the Campfire Lyra II with Reference 8, paired with the AK320, so any relative descriptive terms will be based on that. I also have a AK Diana, so I mainly listened to DD or full BA IEMs, but not much with hybrids. My previous experience was with the TRN VX, marketed as their flagship with 1DD6BA design, and boy was it an absolute clusterfuck. So yeah, was pretty much scarred for life with that.

Soundstage is quite nice, Iā€™d say slightly wider than the Lyra II, the same goes for separation, imaging and detail. The Mangird lays out the instruments clear enough that it is almost a holographic imaging, and with the Mangird I was able to pick up details not so prominent on the Lyra II which I havenā€™t heard before.

The subbass is a thing, it has much more presence in comparison especially when listening to ā€œWhatā€™s up Dangerā€, resulting in a much more thumping bass feeling than the Lyras.

Two major flaws/gripes stood out to me though, the first being the isolation. It surprised me how it isolated less noise than the Lyras, perhaps due to its large holes at the top. Can be a win or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it. The second is the vocals, with a quick A and B with the Lyra on ā€œWUDā€, the vocals are much more far back, yes this helps in the holographic imaging, that I might need some time to get used to or feel. Not sure it I like it or not yet.

Overall, brilliant IEM for its price, will post more comments later!

What do you think about the Orion CK?
I am contemplating buying them, but I read they are a bit thin in the bass and roll off quickly at the top. So I am not sure if the sound is for me.

due to weird circumstances, i actually never heard it, but @Pr3ssAltF4 can perhaps give you some thoughts

Whatā€™s the consensus on these? TEA > H40? Not interested in FH3 if soundstage is significantly smaller. Donā€™t know anything about L5. Current best-rated IEMs owned would be: QKZ VK4(#1), YBF(#2), L3/TFZ No3(tie). And I have a TAPE PRO on the way.

I value:

  • Tonal accuracy/transparency
  • Bass bump(or more)
  • Large, natural soundstage (with excellent imaging for music/games/movies) (at least as good as L3, ideally)
  • Non-fatigue

Howā€™s the soundstage on these? I need a huge and trippy IEM set, I already have all-detail sets

The soundstage and imaging are actually one of the highlights of this pair :")

Soundstage is never gonna be an IEM strong point tbhā€¦imaging is where they shine $ for $ though :+1:

Well the air pressure never goes away when using silicon tips(too bad they sound great,(but NOT on my foam tips) on my set ,i already sold my set(back to FDX1)

For me the sound is times better with Comply TX-500 than the original tips

Does anyone know which tips come with the Tea? Specifically, talking about the spinfit variant ones. I really like these tips and interested in getting more.

Assuming that youā€™re talking about the transparent tips with colored stems for different sizes, I donā€™t believe that they are Spinfits of any kind. Wish I hsd more info for you, but you could try asking Linsoul by email, chat or Discord because I think that Mangird is actually a house-brand for them. Worth a shot, anyway.

They are not Spinfits. I enquired with Linsoul months ago about purchasing more Tea tips and they refused to reply at all. Leading me to believe that they only come with the Mangird Tea. I havenā€™t found them anywhere else.

I donā€™t think Mangird is a specific Linsoul brand. They are sold in China by other retailers, but I believe Linsoul is the main one selling it worldwide. I think you can purchase Mangird products in Taobao.

That could well be, not sure where I heard that they were a Linsoul brand before but itā€™s been bounced around. Either way, it seemed like a good starting point for info on said tips.

Thanks guys. I contacted Linsoul, they donā€™t sell the tips separately.
