With my conversations with Linsoul representatives, they seem to think āMangirdā is an in-house brand.
Hi Guys, Iām torn between getting the mangird tea and fiio fh7 (used for around $300)ā¦ If you can only have one which will you get? Does 6BA and 4BA spell a lot of difference in terms of sound separation, details or sound staging? Thanksš
Youād be fine with either one. I donāt have the Tea but I have the FH7. There was a comparison between the two earlier in this thread. Neither of these sets seem to have glaring flaws, so it all comes down to preferences. The FH7 has some more treble emphasis than you might like, and the Tea might have more mids than youād care for. The FH7 is quite energetic and detailed while the Tea seems to be smoother and easier going. As long as that used FH7 is in good condition, Iād say it should come down to which looks better to you and which might be closer to your preferences.
Is this typical for FiiO? FH3 is the only one Iāve had/heard so far, and there is definitely a treble edge(using Spiral Dot tips, at least. Iāve heard the stock black tips soften treble and +bass). Itās not too bad, though, and absolutely amazing sound for $129.
The FH7 has the most boosted treble of all the hybrids. The FH7 has nozzle filters that help to tame the treble to taste but not by much.
Can you hear any hiss sound when connected to 4.4mm with the mangird? Hip dac is known to cause hiss sounds on some iems.
No, Iāve never heard hiss on the hip dac with anything ive tried on it
How are these in terms of venting? I donāt see any holes on the inside on the pictures. Since they have a DD Iād assume they are vented. Makes me worry since I have this BA iem that isnāt vented and it creates a vacuum in my ear.
They have a single vent on top, near the 2-pin connector. I donāt own them, but they are shown on these video reviews -
I recently had to return my Tea to Linsoul under warranty. Theyāve shipped me the updated version. Pretty nice improvements. Thereās now a lip on the nozzles so tips wonāt be coming off anytime soon. The vents have moved slightly. I like the new style case. And I donāt know about you guys, but I really like the cable thatās included with this set. Enjoying the update to this set.
Any sound differences? I guess you cant remember the old sound 100% thoughā¦
I donāt think so. If you didnāt like the original Tea, this version will not change your mind. I also realised that the shape of the faceplate is more flat and less rounded than original, so they donāt protrude as much.
UGH, do I need to buy a second now? Love the Tea.
If I may askā¦ what was the problem with them that required a return?
comparison with other iems please,
thank you,
Do you want pictures of the Mangird and other IEMs for comparison or explanations of how the Mangird Tea sounds to other IEMs?
I took a bunch of pictures of the Mangird Tea and other IEMs for Riku in some thread. Iāll try finding it and linking it here for you.
We need to know what IEMs you want the Tea compared too visual or audio.
I ordered the Tea from Linsoul in December and received the newer version in January. Sadly, the rigjt-hand side DD failed. Theyāre on their way back to Linsoul for replacement. Itās going to be a long wait.
Tea are my most capable (and $$) set. They create a sense of space and separation thatās addicting. Iām admittedly not a huge Aerosmith fan, but they deserve a shout out for the mix in Sweet Emotion. The way Tea presents this song is rediculously deep. If you have the Tea, check it out.
Tea mids are glorious (for me) with lots of detail and no in-your-face glare. Itās easy to crank the volume and not get fatigued. Bass is likely correct, but I bump it 2 db usually. Overall, I love them.
Iām with yaā¦
Iāve not heard Peter Greenās Albatross as lush and detailed, as I have with these.
Anyone who thinks the Teas are weak in sub-bass/bassā¦ a listen to Lovebirds, Dove Sei (Original Deep Mix) will confirm otherwise. And any Billie Eilish as well, they go deep and tight.
Acoustic guitar - Nils Lofgren, Acoustic Live, Keith Donāt Goā¦ itās ALL there.
Helen Merill, Helen Merill, Whatās Newā¦ at 1:16 there is no S-sibilance. All my sub $100 sets, itās there. Not the Tea.
Now I know why you have these at A+ on your list. Lapping up all of Zeppelin II tonight.
The Blon 01 is goodā¦ but these Teas give an impeccably accurate playback. Whoa, and Whoa.
Blon 01 - $20, Tripowin TC-01 - $50, Shozy 1.1 - $75, iBasso IT01 - $85
Mangird Tea - $230 and worth every penny. Iām done.
