šŸ”¶ Mangird TEA (6 BA/1DD)

Our libraries overlap…and the OCD.
Glad you like em. They are all time chi fi classics. The U.G.K’s of the earphone world :fire:

Hmmmm, I think the TEAs were made specifically for Lorde. Very nice. Soundstage/holographic is on display big time. :+1:

I pulled up Bolin’s ā€œPost Toasteeā€ … holy crap, 9 minutes of eargasm. Crank it. :japanese_ogre:

I went diving into the rabbit hole last week, See Audio Yume. They’re good, nicely tuned… hard to explain, but just not all there like the TEAs.

Yeeessss - small Spinfits (CP145) arrived, find these tips so comfortable and have really opened up the faster/harder stuff in my library. That’ll be portable setup sorted once the new balanced cable arrives.

Got a set delivered today in a poorly ā€œrepairedā€ package after three weeks. My reluctance to order from Linsoul was definitely justified. It’s also a bit annoying that the IEMs themselves aren’t protectively packaged and could damage each other inside the small carry case, thankfully mine seem to be alright.

I didn’t expect these to be so light! They feel almost like empty containers compared to the FH3. I didn’t expect them to fit differently inside the ear compared to the FH3; seems like they fit and sound better (for me) with shorter tips (CP100 rather than CP145). Longer tips seem to press against something in an uncomfortable way. I guess I won’t be going Etymotic any time soon…

Currently listening the album the book about my idle plot on a vague anxiety by toe since I wanted to check out the soundstage and instrument separation. Enjoying it so far!

I personally prefer CP100 to everything. The Mangird has a deep insertion especially vs the FH3, so going with smaller tips is advised.

I try to go as small as possible for comfort while still retaining a complete seal and the IEM seated against my ear.

I love the way CP100 allows an iem’s midrange clarity and imaging to come through. But they don’t work for me with Tea for female voices…personal preference only.

I’m pretty happy with Xelastecs. Regular black azla’s sound incredible, but the material is a little too hard for my ears. Final E are uber comfy, but narrow the stage…wish they had a wide-bore version.

I have the mangird tea, would the dunu sa6 really be a good upgrade?

I have both and I would say no.

I have both…and would also say no.

I just received the CP-500 and initial impressions are favorable. A little more balanced toward to low end than CP-100. Possibly I’m just getting a better seal. Clarity is still top notch and better for me with female vocals…whatever honkiness I was hearing with cp100, I’m not hearing with cp500. Edit: size M on both.

How is the soundstage and imaging of the tea compared to the FD5? And is there a sonic difference between the mmcx version sold on drop vs the two pin from linsoul? Thanks y’all :+1:

Final Type E TWS, get the black one,

If you want a great cable at a low price, together with a decent IEM (if you need one more pair) then it can be justified. But the cable is the reason to get it, as you already got the Tea.

Comply Tx-500 are the best tips for the Tea

are the TEAs still the default recommendation at around $300? the closest i have in terms of price is the thieaudio l4, which i like a lot, sometimes the treble is a tad much and i wish i had a little more subbass which seems to be what the TEA has, i’d be willing to go to $400 if i had to but not more

i saw you got the lz a7 recently and that they’re a similar price to the teas, if you still have the l4s i’d appreciate a comparison if you have free time but if not no worries!

Depends on what you’re looking for, but the Tea is certainly still among the top of the bunch. The Blessing 2 / Dusk are equally competent with a different tuning, Legacy 5 as well IMO. I actually preferred my Legacy 4 to the Tea, so a lot of the recommendations come with obviously subjective caveats.
Edit: LZ A7 has a lot of vocal fans in this neck of the woods, too, and offers a lot of versatility if you’re more of a ā€œOne-and-doneā€ guy than a collector.

i think i have to pass on the b2/dusk because the nozzle is big and i have smaller ear canals, i’ve got tape pros that have a 7mm nozzle vs the 6mm nozzle on the b2, my ears get irritated after just 5 mins of wearing them (which sucks because i actually like them a lot) and i don’t wanna risk that again even if the b2 nozzle is a little smaller, i can’t actually find info on the lz a7 nozzle size but googling shows they can be big too, i think 5mm nozzle size would be the max i can comfortably use

The A7 is nowhere as big as the B2. The B2 is making my ears start to fatigue the instant I put them in and starts to hurt a bit after 5 minutes…
