If you have the Legacy 4, I donāt think the Tea will be that worthwhile of an upgrade, unless you want to collect it or simply hear what it can offer. For a more significant āupgradeā, Iād suggest moving to the Thieaudio tribrids or maybe the Dunu 112 EST.
The Tea will have better imaging, stage and sub bass vs the L4 though.

I have to agree with this assesment that a tribrid would probably a more significant upgrade and/or better investment at this point.

Will be interesting to compare to my blon bl-03 and BGVP DM6. Theyāll also be my first set of iemās with a 4.4 balanced.

Just ordered these, 1st set of proper gear.
Simple question, are these any good using the Apple Dongle?
I plan on getting a dac/amp for home use, but want to keep things simple out and about.

Short answer: yes. More than enough!
Just tested this to answer you: 4.4balanced cable into 3.5se adaptor into apple dongle into Xiaomi mi10 playing tidal and at max volume is too loud.
I also have a fiio btr5 that can serve as on the go as well. On my m3x, i listen to my teas around 28/100 with balanced output.

Congratulations. Iāve asked Linsoul about buying the silicones and there was zero reply. I suggest checking out Comply and Dekoni if you havenāt already. You might like them even more.

That is debatable. Both are very good IEMs, but I donāt know if Iād say the EST112 is outright better. It will depend on your preferences.

I like the EST 112 quite a bit, but yeah, as far as I can tell, the Mangird Tea is a pretty different signature, so it depends! Just for fun, I took a look at the frequency response graphs, screenshot below. (I also threw in the Clairvoyance as a tribrid that lines up a bit more closely to the Tea.)
