šŸ”¶ Mangird TEA (6 BA/1DD)

Thatā€™s the British Tea Party

Teas are now live on DROP for $280:

And if you use the back to school code ā€œSAVE21ā€, it drops to $259.
Iā€™m intriguedā€¦ Already spent too much along with Mele for accessories. But is this price a must buy? Also has anyone bought from DROP at this price range and shipping to UK, will this come with additional custom fees? Looking for HALP.

Wondering which will be the best:

  1. DROP for $274 (shipping included, potentially with additional custom charges, estimate shipping on Sep 6)
  2. Amazon UK for Ā£277
  3. Linsoul for $299
  4. AliExpress for $299

Incredibly bad timing. I just bought the Teas today on Amazon for a total price of 350 including tax with delivery estimate on Sept. 5. The Drop ones are about a hundred less with an estimated shipping on Sept. 6. I have never dealt with Drop so I donā€™t know how good is their shipping and return policy. Amazonā€™s return policy is great. What would one do in my situation?

A lot of people are pissed at drop not sending Teas, but I guess they are nowā€¦

Teas are a must have. Better the price, better the deal. I paid 230ā‚¬ for mine. The good deal without even realizing til later.

A lower price is a better deal, but if Tea was sold for $ 500, it would be bought too! Tea is worth it.

Been listening more to Mele and buds in the last couple days. Yesterday even spent the day with the shitty E1000 since they were in my desk and Im on skype calls all day.

Today I woke up and listened to the Teasā€¦ Oh man.

Man, when there is discount in Ali with store coupon and coins, TEAs can go as low as $225. And I got it for $240. At these prices, itā€™s a steal.

A steal and a must. Glad to see so many people enjoying my favourite pair!!

I feel a bit of a fool spending more on this iem than most people did here lol. I would buy them on Drop but I am just too eager to get my hands on them. I guess Iā€™m paying for convenience of not waiting long to receive the teas and hassle free Amazon returns. This Saturday canā€™t come soon enough!

Iā€™ve read a lot of stories of people having a bad experience with drop regarding returns/refunds etc so I wouldnā€™t sweat it

Yeah, Iā€™d pay the difference and get it with express shipping :man_shrugging:

Fast Teas are best Teas.

I got mine through Amazon UK just in case of any issues. No idea about Drop but suspect youā€™d be looking at VAT plus customs duty on top. AliExpress adds VAT at checkout and ends up at Ā£266 odd anyway. Linsoul if you go standard delivery would probably be cheapest as if shipped by YunExpress they also handle VAT etc but could be a 2-3 week wait for shipping. Horses for courses.

Guys, a cool trick that might help people out. Iā€™ve been buy a lot of stuff (1k$ in 4 days -.-) again lately, especially from Linsoul and Hifigo.

What I do is for instance, I go to Linsoul website, and pick express shipping. For Teas this will be free since itā€™s 200+usd. Then I talked to they support (@Deng on their discord) and asked her to add a note to my shipment. The note is to ask the staff from Linsoul to declare lowest value possible on the package. This way Iā€™m getting stuff without paying VAT from Linsoul and getting them in 2 work days after DHL gets it on hand. Easy peasy.

Thanks for the tips folks, eventually I went with Drop due to the lowest cost atm, and Drop also calculated VAT at checkout and there was no additional tax added. Still donā€™t know about the customs but Iā€™m expecting there will be, but judging by whatā€™s said about Linsoul or Ali, there will still be custom charges no matter what, just larger or smaller amount depending on the prices labeled on the parcel. Add all this to the equation, it still seems to me that the lower price on Drop will compensate on the full amount (price+VAT+shipping+customs) with the significantly lower price tagā€¦ Perhaps.

Judging by my experience using all three sites, Drop for me is (subjectively) the most reliable since I have 2 successful purchases with on-time delivery. Linsoul I only have 1 in the past that was delayed for some time, then Mele which is on route. Then AliExpress is new to me and Iā€™ve just made some purchases recently and havenā€™t received anything enough to judge how the service is. So Drop yes, Linsoul & Ali neutral by impression so far.

Dang it if I had knownā€¦ but probably this wonā€™t change my purchase much. I saw on Linsoul this and thought they wouldnā€™t deal with marking the prices lower:

With currency exchange, Iā€™ve paid Ā£199 GBP for Tea so far, and thatā€™s FAR lower than any of the UK domestic options I could find (Ā£277 on Amazon UK for instance).

Most stores in China do that np. Its not ilegal there, as it is in EU or US.

On ali you pay nothing extra, since they already add vat to your sale.

Only reason I dont use drop is the long ass time they take + shipping fee + customs fee/vat.

Wait, this means you pay VAT based on what is declared on the package?

Yeah, always.

Motherf***er :grinning:

Our customs donā€™t give a shit what is declared on the package, I always have to send them invoice and they calculate VAT based on that.
Even if declared amount matches the amount on invoice, they will charge 5eur fee for processing. God, in what third world country I liveā€¦ :man_facepalming:

Thatā€™s the dhl bliss. They pass costums very quickly and you pay to them. If something gets stuck through slow mail, you have to prove it.

I paid vat only once express shipping, on my land, because they declared 100 instead of 10. I paid 30ā‚¬ on a 600usd iem šŸ¤¦

@PopinTeddy thatā€™s a seriously good price if it includes VAT as well. Even if you have to pay customs duty itā€™s only 2.5% - win!
