Me too. But since penon said 100,dhl believes them and customs belive dhl š¤· thats the bliss on this trick.
Thatās a good thing, our customs donāt believe sellers and we have to prove that declared price is real. Some customs officer even go that far that they search the price of an item on web and if discrepancy is too big, they wonāt accept your receipt and youāll have to prove them that price you paid, is legit. (happened to a friend of mine)

Up until now, some packages went through and some stopped at customs. So it happened to me few times that I received 200$ package without any additional fees while for some packages with minimal value (<5usd) I had to pay VAT + fees. With EU regulation change, every package goes through customs and they will collect taxes.
Few days ago there was a interview on TV, where post representitives said that amount of packages fell about 30% but amount of work they have now went x4. And that they rely on that people will reject packages and they will all be sent back to the sellers

All this EU VAT laws are just plain stupid. I donāt mind paying the fuck, sure. But at least give us a away to pay upfront and get fast shipping without express. If something gets stuck on Customs, you migh way a month here

Speaking of shipping, itās really tough and a huge hassle getting stuff bought online to here, specifically if youāre buying something and it gets directly shipped here. The VAT and customs fees are just ludicrous, and not to mention the rampant theft of small items(such as smartphones, and hell IEMs are definitely gonna be in that list) in customs, or packages being withheld by customs for over extended periods of time until you have to visit them and pay the āprocessing feeā i.e. greasing some assholeās hands from having their grubby fingers locked tighter than a vicegrip around your package.

Teas were the only IEM I waited for more than usual. Got them in 7-10 days through Aliexpress. After that, express shipping all the fucking way. Variations on delivery atm, then sent in on monday in china. Hell yeah bro.
Again, Iāll prolly not pay VAT on a 520usd IEM

Isnāt portugal quite popular tax wise. Like 0 income tax for 10 years for foreigners. That smuggling thing might be another side hustle if people are already located there

Thatās true. I bought a $900.00 headphone from them. When I received it, the metal yolks were completely bent out of shape and had scratched the gloss finish of the carbon fiber cupsā¦
DROP refused to help me or accept them as a return because they said the only way they would accept a return was if the item was DOA.
Iāve made up my mind, going with a more reputable retailer and spending a little more money is worth not waiting for weeks and having no help if I do need to return an item because it was damaged during shipping.

I will never purchase from drop again, now for any drop exclusive item I just look to the used sections. They flat out lost an order of mine and said I received itā¦ so I avoid them.
