šŸ”¶ Mangird TEA (6 BA/1DD)

Thank you! :fire: I do have very shallow-insert tips that could make up for that.

You are a god, good sir! :100:

Maybe the thinner bottom of the V could help clear some top room for me. Or the thinner canal shaft would be better. The L3 seemed to be like a perfect fit without tips, but then Iā€™d add on a tip and theyā€™d ride up in my left ear a bit too muchā€“either squeezed in, or popped out. Which is odd because my right ear tends to have the majority of the issues. Maybe that was due to the angle of the nozzle.

Sorry for throwing my thoughts out there. My ear comfort has been the limiting factor for finding proper IEMs.

Does anyone know how the TEAs compare in size to the Guideray GR-i 58? The guideray have been some of the most comfortable IEMs Iā€™ve ever had, but the description of the TEAs has me super curious to try them

Guideray vs Teas

Oh wow sweet theyā€™re like almost the exact same size

Would you say that the comfort between the two is similar?

The Tea is smoother, has less contouring with smaller bulges and wings, and so would probably be an easier fit for a wider range of ear shapes. If the guideray didnā€™t rub you the wrong way the Tea should be good. The nozzle is wider on the tea and the part of the shell that connects the nozzle is slimmer to accommodate a deeper insertion depth, if thatā€™s your thing. I wear them both relatively shallow without any issues.

Found a cable that matches the look of the Teas perfectly IMHO:

It matches very well, sadly Kbear cables never last for long

I didnā€™t know that. Weā€™ll seeā€¦

Iā€™ve had it for a while but didnā€™t find a matching set before Yesterdayā€¦ :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah one guy on Head Fi had the exact cable and it oxidized within a year. Thatā€™s why I only buy pure silver or go for copper only.

I would think that depends on temperature + humidity but again, weā€™ll seeā€¦ :slightly_smiling_face:

What are the signs that a cable has oxidized?

Usually happens to silver cables, the silver cores change color from an oxide layer. The cable still works, the resistanceā€™s still the same, but if you care for aesthetics then itā€™s no good.

Example: Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread! | Page 454 | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

Yeah silver cables on IEMs tend to to become look bad, and I have one for my first set of BLON BL-03s (Have the purple edition right now since the gun metal that I owned broke), for I bought a Silver cable for it back then, not realizing it can get oxidized and look yellowed, basically the pure silver color of the cable is gone.

If you donā€™t ask, you donā€™t get. PMā€™d Linsoul rep on discord to ask if it was possible to request a set without the logo. Sadly response back was simply to link me to the Teas page on their site saying effectively (Iā€™m paraphrasing) this is how they come, itā€™s standard and thatā€™s all you get.

[sigh] Iā€™d so buy another set without the logo.

Where and how can I buy Mangird Tea that has passed good quality control?

Just enjoy ur FH7, vasix.

Well into my second year or more of using a KBear Rhyme cable as my daily for any 2-pin sets I have. Itā€™s my only experience of a KBear cable, but itā€™s a good one. Besides I got it second hand, so its lifetime is actually longer than that.
