Yes. No answer.
Linsoul said they fixed QC on drivers, but Iām assuming the FR changes are just a revision

Ran through the topping A90. Tried a different cable. Tried with amazing seal from the bullet tips to no seal with no tips. Tried with bad audio sources and nice FLACs. Same sound signature, same buzzing.
I also got a response back stating willing to do an exchange but the QC issues have been resolved so assume it is the new tuning
Horror. Nothing to do with what I was thinking. Itās even worse!
That is disappointing. Mine would come hopefully this week also from Linsoul (AliExpress). Luckily it seems like at least I skipped the extra VAT out of everything.
I would let you know my initial impression, but now I am a little sceptical. That is also my most major audio purchase of the year and whole life even up til this point, so hopes were really high (not to say how SCEPTICAL my wife was hearing I buy 300$ IEMā¦)
Forgive my ignoranceā¦ How do these two graphs show a discrepancy from the āOGā Teaās? I recently purchased a set of Teaās and while I have no mechanical issues with them, I get what people are saying in that they are āshoutyā. I just attributed this to finally owning an iem that reproduces excellent mids.
As you can see, less elevation on bass/treble and also flat mids. What makes teas special and different is the darker upper mids/treble, which is the very opposite of shouty. That reason got me suspicious at first until we started puzzling it on the side.
A revision is also not hard to expect because theyāve done it before, but just with box, cable, tips, case, etc. Now itās pretty clear that they really changed the tunning. @igor0203 is demoing my set at the moment and heāll receive a brand new pair of teas this week, so we can also compare notes.
Thank you both for sharing/explaining the two graphs; I didnāt realize the first graph had both iems on top of each other. This may explain why I have to keep the volume low, though Iām not sure. Hereās an example of what Iām talking about: I love Rush. Have my whole life. But when I listen to Rush on the Tea, Lifesonās guitars seem too piercing for me, especially the higher notes. I donāt think sibilant is the right word to describe it. Itās just that the upper mids and highs in terms of volume seem higher than they should at times.
I bought a set from Linsoulās Amazon page in October ā¦ was a little disappointed that I got the old box. Guess it was a blessing in disguise.
So are Teas still banned because of FR change?
Just for documentation purposes, I bought mine october 11th from Linsoulās amazon store.
I have no idea if I got good tea or bad tea, but I didnāt feel like I was hearing what was being described.
So far, I donāt like hybrids much. And, I am starting to think it is BA I donāt like. Hopefully will find out soon.
If anyone is interested I bought mine on the 30th of Oct, this year 3.5mm version at amazon,
in my ears I donāt hear the 7k spike, probably a resonance in my setup.
Hi Soneca
In which song and in which part this buzz happens i ask that because my magird tea its on the way and i would like to test it as soon as i arrive to know if this problem has already been resolved
My guess is that itās a QC issue since most people donāt complain about it and it only happ ned on the right IEM. So who knows if itās something that gets āresolvedā. It just happened in certain frequencies in vocals at normal listening volumes. Disappeared when volume turned up really high, probably because the faulty driver was being drowned out by the other driver.
I bought from DD Audio too an I think they are Linsoul because on the massage they sign Linsoul
So it will the new batch
