Metal music thread & IEM for it

Songs like Orbit Culture - Vultures of north and the tales of war slap so hard that im constantly shivering and its difficult to get any work done since all I want to do is headbang and dance. My fiance thought I had sidepiece since she thought it was suspicious that when she went to bed I wanted to listen music. @Ech0 head up if you get these iems, they will make your partner jealous.:joy:

Yes. Orbit Culture sounds amazing on the IE600. I bang my head against a few IEMs when listening to metal, but if I were told to keep just one, I would probably choose the IE600.

:beers: :fire: :hammer:

This slaps so fucking hard. I was just about 3 weeks ago seeing them live, running to wall of death and being part of one infernal circle pit. Avatar’s singer also made surprise entrance during their show for vultures of the north!

Well now I’m lost haha! Should I go for IE600 or alien brain? If it helps I don’t really listen to ultra fast death metal. All that remains and as I lay dying are probably as fast as it gets on my library.

Then Alien would be more appropriate.

Could you recommend some bands that are ideal for ie 600 then ideal on alien? I really appreciate the help! Like trivium for example is my most listened to band, with killswitch engage and all that remains closely behind. Would alien be best for those?

Both sound very good with Trivium. Maybe AB a little better in terms of tonality and dynamics, and IE600 in terms of timbre and coherence. But the difference is small. It’s a matter of taste between the two, but I guess you’ll like AB more.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate your help! Ill try the alien brain and if it doesn’t fit my preference I’ll do the IE600 next.

What do you suggest for Neoclassical, Thrash and Power metal ?

It’s really hard to Not Like Alien Brain, from the short time i demoed it it seemed Like a very very good Allrounder and i did enjoy metal on it.
Never ever would i suggest you to blind buy Mest MKII as another person suggested, it’s just too intense.
Alien Brain is blind buy territory :100:

And btw welcome back @SoundEater
You must have missed us

Power, trash- IE600, Trash,neo- AB. AB is a little more melodious, it’s just that the tonality will appeal to more guys.

Still loving your hype 2’s?

Yeр. It’s actually a good IEM, especially for the price.

Face melting!

Can you please elaborate a little on why you like SA6 MK2 for extreme metal. I am considering it too but someone else on this thread doesn’t like it for metal despite it being their favourite IEM. It has me all confused. TIA!

SA6 MK2 is good, very coherent for full BA. They don’t like it because the pina gain is lower and the macrodynamics are average. Overall it’s not bad , but I think there are better options right now.

Can you suggest something in the price range. 500 to 600, can even stretch to 700 for something exceptional.

I am hearing good things about Sound Rhyme SR8. It’s supposed to be very fun and engaging but with a narrow soundstage.
There’s Night Oblivion Butastur. But it seems more neutral.

TIA!

It’s hard to say, it depends on what sound signature you prefer. Maybe:
full BA - Sound Rhyme SR8, MYER- AUDIO SlT6, Ziigat Luna
1DD- IE600
hybrid - FiiO FH9, Simgot EM10, Pilgrim…
You might look at some of Penon IEM- Penon Volt, ISN EST50, ARCHANGEL, ISN EBC80, ISN H60 …
