I’m also not an electrical engineer, lol, just heard from reviewers and other folks that when you plug them into an Emotiva A-100, for example, the bass be hittin different. Would love to hear your thoughts on the 789 pairing - I’ve considered getting it for Argons if it makes that big of a difference, but otherwise I’m happy with my EL stack.

Update in case anyone cares, I got my Argon MKIIs today. They are… weird. In the best way. I am super enjoying the bassy soundstage combo. It’s throwing me for a loop.

Wow almost 11 weeks aw man still have like 4 more weeks then on the 7th week. Won’t come in till mid September.
lol I’m about to send my pair of T50rp MK3 in next week to get the treatment, I guess I can expect a awesome Christmas gift with the lead times being discussed here… haha
Got an clean,original MK2 with gold rails, gonna send it up. I might put MK3 baffles on and get it balanced.
So I put the MK3 baffles on just as an option and going to add the balanced connector.

I did, and they gave me an estimated ship date. Then they shipped 9 days after that. 
Finally got my Argons Mk3 today. Admittedly it took longer since I live in a remote place in asia. 
It took 2 months to ship the item and the shipping itself was a pain and took more than a month before i received it.
However, first impression of these cans is great. No regrets here. Hopefully a lot more people tries them so as to encourage Ryan to continue making these great mods!
Fyi, for those with not so powerful amps out there, my Topping MX3 powers them fine with around 80% of the power. I would even claim that these Argons are a bit easier to power than my Beyer 990 Pro (250 ohm). So any amp with comparable output will do just fine (yes the JDSLabs Atom or Monoprice Liquid Spark will blow you deaf with these cans at max power).

While these are super fun, super cool headphones I decided to put mine on eBay, if anyone’s interested. They’re great, and surprisingly detailed, but it doesn’t do anything for me that other high end headphones I own. I’m happy that I had the experience and it’s time for them to move on.
