on amazon the T60rp is on sale for 299.00 they have 14 left in stock encase anyone wants to snag a pair to send in for modding. I’m not sure on the sale price I think it may be a fake sale as i want to say they where always 299.00

that’s what I thought. Kinda scummy for them to pretend put them on sale. But either way they are in stock for anyone who needs a set to get modded.
I mailed my T60RP’s down to Ryan and Katie today. And the wait begins. I am expecting to see them in June.
Lots of other stuff to play with. I am hoping that I forget about them after a few weeks and they are a huge surprise on their return.

They are worth the wait IMO, but i only watied a few weeks + shipping time. and i live about 200 miles from Ryan.

I wonder what his profit margins are like. Like could he afored to hire someone to teach how to do the mod so that he could then make way more of them?
doubtful tbh. i dont think the materials cost much, but it takes him a couple hours each pair. and he doesn’t charge that much for the service.

and, im not sure its still the case, but he was working a full time job as well and only did mods after work and days off.
Today it is officially 8 weeks since Modhouse informed me they have the T60 I sent in. Maybe I’ll get it within the next two weeks?
If you aren’t waiting 27 weeks are you even listening to real Argons?

I hope 27 weeks is not the case since the lead time read 8-10 weeks when I sent them in for conversion.

I’ve read them and the replies trying to find some hope. This looks promising from Ryan from 5 days ago.
Orders from January should start shipping out in about 2 weeks. We received a lot of orders in December when we first opened up conversion ordering again, so it’s taking longer than we thought to work through those.
I’ll be honest friend. It’s best you just forget about the headphone for a while. They won’t forget your order and emailing them isn’t going to net you a response nor is it gonna make the headphone come faster. They will email you when it’s ready.

They got mine March 25th.
I am hoping for mid-May, but certainly not counting on it.
I just got mine after 7 months waiting and as everybody else is saying, the wait is worth it. My first impressions are that they basically have no flaws. Natural sounding, very detailed and sparkly, excellent imaging and soundstage, punchy and well extended low end…
They are very comfortable and very light to the point I though I was carrying an empty box. Oh well, bass could have been more elevated for more fun, but it seems more neutral.
I wouldn’t not call the Argons light by any stretch of the definition. But they are VERY comfortable, that dear leather strap and ZMF suede ear pads go a long way.
Yeah, I mean… in comparison to other planars it is relatively light. My GL2000 for example will literally break my neck in weight comparison. Some other big planars tend to be very heavy as well (I’ve heard some LCDs are too heavy as well). Aeon Noire is as light as the T60RP Argons, which is as light as it can get for a planar as I know and which doesn’t crush my neck like the GL2000 does, so yeah, I consider them light enough.
By the way guys, are there any pads that just bring up the bass and don’t touch the treble? Do all solid pads make it more V-shaped, which means more treble as well? Maybe some improvised cloth inserts? Not that I consider the treble harsh with the recommended suede pads though, but I wish it could be slightly more relaxing. Or maybe I should just get the t50rp mod as well, lol
Have you tried EQ? Too many people are too scared to touch EQ which I find rather silly.
