đŸ”¶ Monolith M1570

Coming from the gamer background, and writer of that guide I get blown up with messages on the regular about this
It’s kinda expected that I use a headphone I am testing for gaming anymore so, I plan too
but I can’t say I will enjoy it for long sessions

Alright thanks for the detailed opinion on this. Isn’t it easy to pad swap with these though ? I remember watching NTR videos on these but i can’t remember what he said about the pads, i remember him complaining mainly about the cable. If pad swapping ain’t a thing probably gonna pass on it personally.

Yeah, you can swap them out rather easily.

Been using these what
 bout 3 hours now gaming
it’s not bad but the heat build up from these and the overall weight definitely eliminates the ability to play with these for a long period of time
3 hours because I had to actually take them off and take a break from them. it does have a rather large stage and sounds bigger than most of the beyers too
imaging is pretty on point as well in most of the competitives though it wasn’t the best going to warzone, yay thank you bad sound engines.

I wouldn’t particularly recommend this for gaming due to it’s design, weight, and heat build ups
but for music and a chill headphone? yeah sure why the hell not, I actually really like it’s sound

@uuxx Thank you for your answer. Shanling m0 declares 80mW@32 Ohm as iBasso DC03. I’ll order a DC03 and will try it.

These are still on my list. How’s everybody here liking them? €325 atm here in Europe, which seems like a steal

Also contemplating ZFM Aeolus, but they will of course be in a total different ballparc.

i made the choice of verum one and i’m not disappointed at all !
super well built with incredible sound for 349$

I’ve got my DC03 dongle. It plays loud enough for me - I usually use at 80% of volume with m1570. I’m quite pleased regarding the sound quality, but if you have a Samsung phone you should probably look for an alternative solution. I need to play some tricks to get DC03 detected and it turns to be a well known Samsung phones issue.

Hi. Does anyone know how the international shipping of monoprice works? Do you know if they ship to Hong Kong or UK?

Currently got them from Monoprice, it was an open box, for $299, I love the sound from them, yeah they are heavy but I usually listen on my couch (my audio setup is next to me - Modi Multibit and Asgard 3) so weight is not much of an issue.

Did you get M1570’s for $299.00?

Sorry for the late reply, yes I did.

I swapped my headband with a HiFiman HE-560v2 headband I got from Adorama for $10.

So, do you find it a lot lighter? More comfortable?

Do you have link for the headband for 10USD? In Europe they sell them for 125 EUR that’s a little bit of difference there :frowning:

Looks like they don’t sell it anymore.

I just hit the Buy button on some M1570’s.

Hoping for the best. The M570’s were a huge disappointment, but I file that under, “You get what you pay for”.

Is it returnable? Lol

That’s why I love Amazon.

Wow, I am loving these out of the box!

Great mids and some very nice bass. They are kind of a loose fit, even with the “thicker” pads. I gave each side a little bend to tighten them up. They don’t feel especially heavy, but it has only been less than 30 minutes.

I only wear them in my lazy boy so weight and fit won’t be much of an issue.

The iFi Pro iCAN is an amazing partner for these. I have bass boost maxed out (40Hz), 3D maxed out (90/60+) and gain is set to mid. Volume knob is set at about 10:00.

It is killing my test list. :+1:

Right out of the box I am much more impressed than I was with the ATH-WP900’s or the Beyer T5’s (minus the isolation).
