šŸ”¶ Monolith M1570

I am very happy with mine too, and yes, they have a nice bass, I also use them while I am on the couch so weight is not much of an issue for me.

Put the furry pads on today. First off, what a pain in the ass to change.

The furryā€™s cost you a lot in bass without doing much to enhance other areas. I will leave them on for today and maybe even tomorrow.

Going forward, the vinyl/pleathers will be the pad of choice.

Put the vinyls/leathers back on and they sound so much fuller and bassier to me.
I am really enjoying these and think they are a keeper. Great bass and mids. No extra treble to speak of.

However, I only seem to enjoy them on the iFi Pro iCAN with X-bass and 3D both wide open. Great with rock and also sounding pretty good with jazz.

The weight is Substantial, but I never notice it on my head, only when I pick them up? I have been tying them together at night to improve the clamp.

I have already been in touch with HAC and the balanced cable is pretty cheap.

I canā€™t rmb if I read it wrong, but thereā€™s sth weird about M1570? maybe itā€™s not wired the same way as other cans that use mini XLR. Better to check with HAC first

It is indeed wired the opposite of Audeze, so my Audeze cable will lay dormant while I buy yet another cable. And I will pick up another XLR connector. I like leaving them in all the amps so that I can just hop around depending on the music. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, a reviewer tried it with both pads and said that the vinyls/leathers are better for the M1570.

Just changed headphones today. Interesting trivia for non-owners:

The HD660ā€™s only weighs 7% of the full weight of the M1570ā€™s.

Tell me, are they worth the sale price of 399.99 USD? Can anyone compare the He6se V2 to these?

He6se v2 more detailed.

So you think itā€™s not worth getting these at $400 since I already own He6se v 2?

What has been stopping me from getting these has honestly been the cable. Monoprice never released a balanced cable for the M1570 and with its dumb pin layout, you have to get one custom made for it.

Iā€™m using Topping A30 and D30 pro, so itā€™s not a true balance set up. The various output is just for convenience sake. The output for my xlr and quarter inch is the same power. So thereā€™s no need for me to get balanced cable

There is when every amp you have is balanced and sounds better balanced, which is my case. Many Amps offer SE only as a convince but are implemented as an after thought. Thatā€™s even written in the manual of the liquid Gold X made by Monoprice.

I think so. I got them on sale for $529.00 in Canada. They are Very impressive with my iFi Pro iCAN amp.

I am into Hart Audio cables and currently have a cable on the way at a pretty good price. It will give me the balanced option.

I read it somewhere that monoprice intends to release M1570 balanced cable in September. Not sure if I read it correctly though

The was probably September of last year. The headphones have been out for over a year and they have not released the cable yet. You should read the Questions and reviews on Monopriceā€™s website.

Iā€™m waiting to receive my He6se v2 order. Not sure if itā€™s worth getting this pair too. I heard so many favourable reviews and feedbacks on M1570.

I can tell you that the He6seV2 is amazing, but you do need an amp that can put out at least 2w at 50ohm.

Topping A30 Pro is at 5.5w at 32omh and 840mW at 300omh, I hope itā€™s enough!

That is probably fine. I am loving the Soloist 3x right now with the He-6se. I wouldnā€™t suggest a stereo amp for the se versions of the He-6. There is a good chance you will blow a driver out on those. They arenā€™t as power hungry as the OG He-6.
