Sorry this is the best pic I have, just finished this morning and have been listening all day. This was v3.0 and it wasnāt supposed to work perfectly. So I didnāt document it well. Lol!
how deep are the earpads im hoping ther at least an 1in thick or more an could i run 2.5watt at 32ohms rms into these without problem? iām planning to buy an want to pair proper power i was thimking about using the schiit MAGNI 3+ would that be ok .to anyone who owns this amp or these can what do you think?
Hello! This looks interesting. Actually, I also try to mod my m570. But I donāt know what to do after I remove the screws. Could you tell me some general guidance? thanks!
Once you remove the 4 screws you may need to gently pry the driver out with a very slim tool or knife. They a wedged in fairly tight. Just go slow and evenly around the edge.
Thanks a lot!
Lol itās like silicone lottery on these headphones you either get ringing or you dont. Hopefully they get better QC on these
I grabbed a pair and lucked out too.
How would you describe the sound change from the stock pads to the ZMF pads?
Where did you get that band? Does audeze sell just bands?
I had to send my m570s back because of this exact issue. It was so weird just when it was voices alone it would echo (like a podcast), but music was fine. I sent them back and got a pair of elearās but I would love to hear a pair of m570s without that dumbass echo.
I really like the M570 with music, but as Jon_Watts says it absolutely MANGLES voices! Is this an issue with the Aiva or B20? I really want to like these but wow thatās bad. This is my first foray into planars and I would like to be able to love them. Is there a detailed explanation of how to mod the M570 to reduce this echo? Iām not familiar with headphone modding at all so I donāt want to damage them.
So the m570 has some ringing that can cause this, and itās really hard to mod out from what I hear. Personally I donāt know if the m570 is the best choice for vocals anyway, but there have been qc issues with the m570 and the ringing issues by design
Thanks M0N. Iām searching for an all-rounder, I donāt want to fuss with having multiple sets of purpose specific cans. If thatās the case, then these probably arenāt gonna work.
Yeah I personally think that it might not be worth the hassle to mod the m570 to try and improve it (I also agree itās not the best all rounder). What type of sound signature are you looking for? I think a good alternative to the 570 would be the sundara which is neutral bright and imo more refined overall
Iām currently in possession of a pair of DT1990s and they are the closest Iāve found to what I want so far. If I could find something with the same clarity, but a bit more thump and sub-bass, maybe tone down the top end slightly to reduce fatigue, it would be perfect. I find myself turning up the volume to get more low end and end up paying for it. I havenāt played with EQ yet, only had them a few days. I was hoping I could get the M570 to shape up a bit because my initial impression was quite positive but direct comparison to the DT1990 reveals its flaws rather succinctly. I guess I was just hoping the $300 headphones could match the $500 headphones and save some cash.
Hmmm. What amp are you using for the 1990? I would say you would be looking for something that would end up being about just as or more expensive tbh. I do have a few in mind though for what you might enjoy. Also the sundara is no longer something I would recommend if you want more subbass
Donāt take my criticism to mean I am unhappy with the DT1990, just as areas that I would like some tweaking, but if there was something that had a similar sound signature, straight out of the box, but with those tweaks, Iād probably go for that. These are FANTASTIC IMO. I started with the Sennheiser/Drop 6XX, found the ārelaxedā sound almost boring. DT1990 is very engaging to my ears. My amp is a Schiit Jotunheim, plenty of power for pretty much any cans. I havenāt tried many amps. I started with the Magni 3+, deemed it insufficient for the 6XX and jumped up to the Jot. I wanted to hear the 6XX at their full potential, I felt like I was missing something that all these other people were hearing, but in the end it was just their natural character that didnāt do it for me.
So imo if you want more subbass doing a simple eq shelf is easy and would accomplish that imo. I also think perhaps trying different pads might be up your alley. Also personally I think you might actually be better off with an asgard 3 for the 1990, imo itās actually a step above the jot, the newer shiit products are a fair bit better imo
So, what are the main differences in terms of sound between the m570 and the 1060c w open mod? Is one of these two a clear winner or are they close in terms of sound quality?
