Yeah the x2 are very very bassy. It might take some physical and mental burn in to get used to the bass on the m570. And if you donāt like them donāt feel pressured into keeping them, just return them and find something that suits your preference more
How expensive are the M570, 300 bucks ?
The bass just seems like itās more solid/ impactful on the outside of the earcups which makes no sense to me. Will definitely try some time to adjust though. Thank you for your replies!
What if they mounted the drivers the wrong way
Spech,
Yeah, thatās what I paid for em on Amazon.
So in case you return them your budget is also 300 bucks ? I am thinking of what better stuff you could get
If he likes them letās not encourage him to find something else
A fair amount of planars do this, itās fairly normal
I mean I wouldāve instantly given up on them when I saw those fucked up mids
But you havenāt listened to them? You are going to trust a simple graph more than your ears?
If shit measure bad, I donāt buy said shit, like a 15db peak and dip in the mids is ridiculous
I actually like the mids. Maybe my hearing isnāt āgolden earsā level but I do enjoy them very much.
Yeah if you get a pair with no issues, if you like an exciting v shaped sound they are pretty good sounding. What music do you listen to just wondering?
Lots of Tori Amos, A Fine Frenzy, Sara Bareilles, LEAH lately.
Nice, great artists
So it turns out I had a faulty Jack on the right driver. Got a replacement in next day from Amazon and these are much better. Bass impact is there right where itās supposed to be. Been listening non-stop for awhile and Iām definitely a fan of these. Theyāre just so crisp especially from the X2s. They feel more refined in all areas.( Also havenāt noticed any āringingā in the mid-range either.) Definitely less bass overall but the low end compliments the music well when itās called for. Much closer match to the Shure 846s. Not the same level of microdetail or strong bass but Iām happy with them, especially considering the cost. Well worth the investment for me.
So I just got the M570. I still need to test out more music, but I think I found maybe a potential flaw with voice only content. I listened to an audiobook and a podcast and I hear maybe a reverb within the wooden cups when listening to a male voice. I was trying to be positive and was thinking, maybe Iām hearing a bounce of the voice within the microphones capsule, which would be insane. Has anyone noticed this?
The midrange of the m570 can have some ringing that can cause issues like that
I donāt have the m570 anymore but has anyone tried any mods to fix the ringing issues yet? Maybe some tuning foam or felt and different earpads could help.
Hey! I found this issue almost immediately. Mine was a resonance around 720 to 730 mhz it caused all vocals, male and female to echo terribly. I just did a quick mod with poly fill, around the edge of the cup, with a baffle to keep it away from the driver. Completely stopped all audible echo. From a listening perspective. (no mic to do an actual measurement.) These things sound incredible now! They where completely unusable for me before the mod. (I have very good ears, and all i could hear was the echoey artifacts in the music. Drove me nuts!) This may possibly harm the depth of sound stage for some because the resonance was causing secondary echos making vocalist appear further away. I could not care less. It was a completely garbage and unnatural sounding. These headphones easily sound 10 xās as good now. (because i feel in stock state they are at best very nice looking doorstop.) Totally worth the hour to do it.
