Just saw the measurements for these and the entire range of the new Monoprice headphones, all I gotta say is a big yikes dawg. I would keep away from anything monoprice tbh, at least when it comes to headphones I mean just look at this:
Thatās a 15db difference between the peak and the dip at 900hz thatās completely unacceptable for any headphone, the other more expensive new monoprice headphones also measure bad and they are more expensive I canāt see why would anyone waste money on them.
Hey guys, have a question about sound leak. Can I use these in a busy office environment while not completely imposing my tunes on everyone around me? Are these a no go for the office? Iām in love with the sound from these bad boys but have no clue how bad the leakage is.
Are you in a more open office plan or cubicle? In a cubicle if you listened quieter you could probably get away with it, but in an open office setting probably not
I hear thatā¦ Not trying to disturb the hive. Too badā¦ Not sure what to go after at this point. Anyone with experience think a closed audio Technica is the closest thing at or under this price point? M60x seems impressive with sound stage, but from the sound demos, the 570s have the wow factor.
I was secretly hoping someone would tell me āthe 570s donāt leak that muchā but wishful thinking.
Hmm, I think something closed similar to the m570 in that price range would actually be a fostex t50rp mk3 with shure pads (I canāt remember which ones) and for an amp you could get an xduoo xd05 and that would be a pretty nice closed planar for the office. Can be fairly aggressive and fast, with good detail so I would say it would be a good closed alternative to the m570
Hey everyone, new here. I just got the M570s yesterday and Iām perplexed by the low end particularly. I have Fidelio X2s and Shure SE846s that I run from both my LG V40 and a Leckerton UHA6s mk2 and they sound great. The lows on the 570s are very lacking, through both my phone and amp. Is this just the nature of these planars? I was reading through this thread that the bass on the 570s is more refined but it just seems to have very little impact, even when EQd up a few Db. Almost like 2 subwoofers are out of phase with each other. The bass sounds deeper and Fuller outside of the earcups than it does with them on my head. The detail and mid-range seem fine enough and definitely an upgrade to the X2s. Does anyone have this problem?
They are less than most people expect in the bass, but perhaps take a couple more days to listen. There is a chance that you have a unit with issues as a fair amount of QC concerns have been popping up recently
Also make sure to trick your v40 to enter high impedance mode for more power, as a better amp will improve the bass response
Iāve plugged in just one earcup to get high impedance mode to activate and that definitely helps the volume but not the low-end. I personally think the X2s bass is elevated even more than I would like but theyāre amazing when watching movies and gaming. Listening to electronic music etc is fantastic with no EQ on the X2s. The X2s bass is very visceral, impactful and goes VERY deep. The bass on these seems thin and I can hear it but not feel it. Iāve always seen reviews about āplanar bassā and although thatās not a focus with these, I donāt feel they donāt contribute to the bottom end of music to the point where itās distracting. I will listen for a few more days and maybe try different pads also. I love the rest of the sound signature and the detail.
