@Felix, @M0N Hereās a short clip from the game Livelock. Can you please, please, test it on both your Argon Mk3 and the Nighthawk and tell me which one has more RUMBLE when I shoot the cannon and more WEIGHT to the air when I do melee strike (whoosh whoosh effect).
The argons have more bass. Nighthawks have punchier bass and more forward mids which makes dialogue more audible. On top of that the NH are cleaner sounding compared to the argons. Any sort of thump sound youāll feel in your chest with both. So the NH would be my pick for single player games. The clearer dialogue being the main factor for my choice.
Same as my previous post. Argons are bassier, NH are cleaner. The echo of the gunshots sounded quite big on the NH but on the argons it was further away.
Thank you very very much. And the voice of the talking robot was more immersive on the nighthawk as well?
So if the echo of shots were bigger on the nighthawk and further away on the argons, doesnāt that mean that the NH has more bass? You also say argons have more bass.
Personally I would argue the nighthawksās have much better bass, biodynamic driver bass is just awesome in quality and slam. The argonās just have more quantity but less quality
NH sounded better to me with the robots voice. The echo of the gunshots doesnāt have anything to do with bass. Just how the soundstage presents itself. Argons do have more bass, more rumble.
Thank you again. You say the Argon had more rumble and that sells it for me but i also prefer the bigger echo of the cannon shot on the nighthawk, so Iām really undecided still. Which one did you personally like more Pablo? Which one got you immersed more?
A second trial by M0N when he gets home would also be appreciated.
Just gonna make this a tad more difficult in this price range for single player immersion. Iām a big fan of the he 4xx and the Fidelio X2 hr personally but they are much cheaper options
I already own the He4xx. In the YouTube video i posted above it fails to deliver a full meaty rumble in the cannon shots or give weight to the air in melee strikes like the steelseries arctis 7 does. He4xx has better soundtage and imaging. Both are muddy. Thatās why Iām looking for a can dedicated to immersive single player gaming that also has good soundstage, rumble bass, and no muddiness. I get it you guys LOVE the nighthawk. I am just waiting on empirical feedback on my video posted above then i will decide. In addition to Pablo, 2 more users kindly volunteered to do the comparison for me.
They are mainly good for competitive gaming cans for casual gaming they are pretty fun. As the imaging is fun along with that midbass hump adding meat to explosions and gun shots.
He said he wants immersive and put in a space with wide soundstage and good bass, doesnāt need competitive accuracy. Although those are good headphones.
Plus you can do the Amazon thing for the Nighthawk Carbon too.
Why I donāt reccomend them for music. But for games where treble is helpful and not as offensive as it could be for music itās less of a concern . But also why I said if your ok with amazon return if itās so offensive
