What about my m570? Should i return it because it has imbalance only between 800Hz and 900Hz? Purchase price was $240.
I dont know how that affects gaming or music.

If I can return them, I think Iāll order a pair of Sundaras before doing so. I will buy them to AB between the 2 and decide which I prefer. It might be unfair to compare the 2 though since there is a channel imbalance in this headphone.
I personally much prefer the sundara but thatās just me
Well if you have that issue I would see if you can get a replacement or refund as well, I wouldnāt live with a broken pair of headphones if you donāt have to
I would personally return it cause it affected my listening experience negatively. I did with mine and Iām currently looking at other things.
I love the hi resolution imaging of the m570. I can track exact location of moving footsteps with them. Occasionally the bass masks the footsteps. Does anyone know of a similar headphone? Sivga p2? Fostex t50rp with shure pads? Hifiman? Sendy has louder bass so No.
The m570 does have a slightly smaller soundstage than my HE-4XX and K702 though. Not by much, but noticeable.
K702 and HE-4XX remain my favorite for competitive (details and imaging) and i cant find an upgrade to them other than the HD800 strictly for competitive gaming. So no bass upgrade.
The upgrade to the 4xx are pretty much the Sundara I believe
I think the sundara would really be up your alley, personally I much prefer it to the sendy driver types. The p2 would be very similar to the m570. The t50rp with shure pads doesnāt really have a wider stage and isnāt as detailed (also like lots of power). I would say if you like the 4xx you would like the sundara imo
But another option to go with is the DT 1990 as well. Great for gaming and has better imaging than most cans with really good details
Thatās also a very good choice, pretty expansive stage too. I feel like I mentioned it before but that might be with someone else
What connectors do the focal elex and sundaras use?
Iām still trying to figure out exactly what I like and want from a pair of headphones, and what I will or wonāt tolerate. So, Iām about to have the DT1990 (been auditioning for about two weeks, really like it), Amiron Home (enjoying the more robust low end vs the DT1990), the Sivga P-II (tried the M570 and wanted to like it, Iām hoping the driver is better implemented here), and HiFiman Sundara. Headphone shoot-out time! 4 cans enter, one can stays!
The elex and sundara use 3.5 mm jacks in the cups
Curious to see what stays for you
Oops I somehow deleted my post-I had an m570 and there was an odd echo when people talked like on podcasts etc, seemed fine on music. I returned them for that reason as well as a few other people I talked to. They sounded good with music but I could not listen to podcasts or youtube etc with them.
Iāve been using the Dt1990 for gaming for a while and they are superb, no need to go as high as the hd800, IMOā¦
Iām starting to think the resonance is inherent to the driver, because the Sivga P-II also has the resonance. Disappointing, since music sounds great. I donāt understand how it goes from excellent, rich, full, engaging, to sending the sound through a cardboard tube to my ear.
I think there are certain people not sensitive to such resonance so they donāt quite detect it as hard as those that are sensitive to it or quite possibly resonance becomes perceived as detail rather than a problem.
How can I test my Aiva? Never heard of any issues with the OG lol
Well the most prominent common problem is the channel imbalance that seems to indicate if you have resonance or not like if you have this you probably also have resonance or it results honestly I donāt quite know how it works in relation. But to test it is to try a sweeping frequency sound from YouTube or other websites and if the image moves levy to right usually from 600-900 Hz with the m570 particularly
