Besides the wrong timbre, is blessing 2 good at other things?
Its technical, thats all I give it.
Thanks. If I were to get it, do you think the wood option is worth it?
Its cosmetic, so up to you.
(I would get the weeb version (faceplate) if I could, but they werent out when I bought it.)
A very satisfied owner checking in. Man, the fact that these are 320 dollars is insane. I canāt wait to see what the rest of the IEM world has to offer.
Congratz on your purchase!
Late to the party, but after a lot of consideration and long shipping times, a wild blessing 2 appeared in my postbox.
Itās too early to give a review, but I wanted to share my first impressions. For context: I did hear >1k$ headphones before, but was to cheap in the past to invest into IEMs, which recently changes. Went from a long time CCA C12 ā Moondrop Aria ā Blessing 2:
First impression roundup: While the blessing is the technically better headphone, I prefer the aria slightly, thanks to a better fit (with the right tips - otherwise it is too loose) and a tuning which suits my taste better.
If I learned anything, than it is that I donāt agree with crinacle target
Yup, my impressions of B2 were the same. I bought B2 cause of Aria and preferred the tuning of Aria more than B2. Although B2 has better quality bass, Aria had greater impact . B2 was a lot refined and resolved better, soundstage wise both had similar width but B2 sounded a bit flatter, Aria had a hint of depth which B2 seemed to lack.
Overall the B2 was not a direct upgrade to the Aria but more a side upgrade. Aria has way better fit, at least for me.
B2 is a direct upgrade of Aria! Youāre just used to Aria And B2 with a change of cable and the right eartips hits above its price - up to about $ 500. This can hardly be said about Aria !!!
Just to be clear, Iām not saying that the B2 in not better than the Aria. Itās just that I much prefer the Ariaās tuning over B2. Main issues for me with the B2 are BA Timbre and lack of enough Bass impact.
I tried a couple of tips Spinfits, Final Type E, Foamā¦ and 2 cables. KBear 4 Core Balanced Cable and the Stock Astell&Kern Diana Cable.
Ultimately sold the B2 and now Iām gonna see if Timeless would be a good fit for my library and tastes.
I will say this though, it definitely is one of the best options for itās price, just not the tuning for me.
Totally disagree.
If something is tuning wise so different from something else, I wouldnāt call it a ādirect upgradeā. @John7592jdys gave you his reasons, which donāt even include my biggest issue with the IEM - lack of treble >10khz.
Also if you have to change cable and tips, it makes it even less direct of an upgrade. Imho the B2 is clearly better, when equalizedā¦ but if something is equalized it is anything but an direct upgrade.
Why does everyone say that B2 doesnāt have enough bass. Iāve listened to a lot of headphones and B2 has good amount of bass and good quality bass! The bass speed is not bad either, even for me it is medium fast and not slow? what do you mean by fast bass? See if you use the right tips and a good cable! And yes- B2 is an upgrade of Aria and more. You just like the Aria tuning. The timbre of BA is a bit disturbing, but the speed of BA is surprising for this type of driver, it beats many dynamic drivers above the price in terms of speed and transitions !!!
BAs are way faster than DDsā¦ Thatās they specialityā¦
Thatās why my next purchase will be 07m and the end that I spent a lot of money this year
First you say itās an ādirect upgradeā and now you make the appearance of standing your ground, but dropping the ādirectā from āB2 is an upgrade of Aria and moreā. Which is it? A ādirect upgradeā or merely a āupgradeā?
Also what is the B2 more than an upgrade? I am not sure you understand the meaning of the word. Neither ādirectā nor āupgradeā.
Yes I like the Aria tuning, which is exactly my pointā¦ the fact that I (among others) like it but donāt like the B2 is proof, that it isnāt a ādirect upgradeā. I donāt know why you repeat what I said and repeat it as a justification (for what exactly?) / accusation.
Just to be clear (just in case): No one here ever said that the B2 is objectively worse than the Aria. I think everyone agrees, that the B2 is technically superior. But if a technically superior iem sound like shit tuning wise (which is a subjective thing), it isnāt worth a whole lot.
In regards to the bass: I donāt mind too much, if there isnāt enough bass, but the B2 definitely doesnāt have a lot of bassā¦ again: what is the right amount of bass?.. it is subjective. But the B2 has objectively less bass than other IEMs like the Dusk, Variations or even the Aria. If you think you can change that with tips and cableā¦ try those tips and cables on these IEMs as well, before you make a comparision between apples and oranges
I understand the word āupgradeā, probably better than you! B2 has bass, but there are IEMs with more bass !! And yes- B2 is technically better than Aria !!!
Then please answer my question.
I didnāt say more than an upgrade, probably a translation error! I say they are better than other IEMs for this price and for a higher price, thatās it!
