Idk if I blame them anymore. I’ve tried so many different iems now but I still keep going back to my starfields lmao. Anything else they try might end up sounding worse. If the KATO is just a better starfield I’ll be happy with that.

A tuning that is similar to the BLON BL-03 but improved? I would love to cop that from them. Also I think a cheaper Mangird Tea but with the sounds of the original one with the Moondrop shell? I would buy that shit as well.
Also in terms of looks, the KATOs are fine enough for my tastes. I love my Starfields as well but the only issue I have with it is that, its painting chipped on mine, meaning I had to repaint with a similar blue color while sacrificing its original look.
At least it’s my own Starfield, but it looks like I have to remove the paint of it again, since the repaint I did on it seems to be chipping off again. Might as well stick with the ghetto look of it being a polished-metal.
Would that just be the mele? Looking at graphs its very similar. Bggr/hbb himself said his entire goal was to make something better for the bl-03 fans. Personally I didn’t like blons much, I thought they were okay but way overhyped.
I’ve had mine since the month it was released without any chips yet weirdly enough lmao. My most used iems by far too. I drop them on my hardwood all the time and panic thinking they’re gonna chip cause of how many pp complain about it. I toss them on my glass table a ton too- it’s a wonder how mine has somehow withstood my abuse.
So let me get this straight. No one heard it yet, but you all know it’s worse than KXXS only by the graph?

And that is why, we should not jumped into conclusions especially on the KATOs. I mean I love mine and you? okay with it but not spectacularly on it.
Sounds are very complicated with everyone, and various tastes are only suitable to some. My taste might not be for you and your tastes might not be for me.
At the end of the day it is okay, let’s just see how the KATOs hold up once it is released.

Only a few ppl have heard it, and I mean very few lmao. I’ve only talked with one person who has heard it so far and he said they sounded bad but I’m taking it with a grain of salty cause the only other iems he owns cost wayyyy more.
Mine’s probably an early version and has a factory defect. I mean good on you if that’s the case. I wish I could have got one that’s a bit later, but I couldn’t refuse it since it was a gift from my mom and dad after graduating college.

And btw, just noticed on Ali they are extending the promo for the free upgrade line K cable until 30th Sep.
And they give 20$ discount on them . i don’t trust this reviewer anyway and i don’t think that kato will be a good deal cz they try to convince people to preorder them before the reviews comes out . Look at dunu they sent there new iems to reviews even befor the preorder starts .

Otto motor and animagus on head-fi also had a great first impressions of these as well. Both said they’re a lot better than the kxxs/kxxx.
