Good summary. To my ears, the only (potential) failing of the Tea is that the mid-bass is pretty neutral, so some songs can feel less impactful than others.
My Tea actually came with MMCX connectors (ordered 3.5mm from Linsoul), and the right side was a little loose after a couple of weeks. I just expanded the ring on the male end for a snugger fit and have had no issues since. I also haven’t had any of the afforementioned issues with silicone tips, the stock clear/colored tips have worked just fine for me (and everyones’ ears are different).
Edit: I will also add that trebleheads might find them a tad lacking, but to my ears, all of the highs and detail are present in them.
I actually think this is the reason I love the Mangird. I am loving the sub bass extension and elevation. If that elevation extended into the upper lows, I think the bass would become bloated (Blon BL-03 & Legacy 3) and push into the mids. This clarity in that region along with the sub bass elevation are a magic recipe for my listening enjoyment. It allows for strong, impactful deep bass with no muddying of the mids.
There are other IEMs that slam harder than the Mangird, but more is not always better. I’m very happy with the stage, slam, tuning and natural timbre of the Mangird so far. I’m still breaking it in and have noticed changes in the tone through the break in so everything is still in flux.
Interesting you think the treble is lacking. For me, it’s just about perfect after break-in but I am treble sensitive.
Thanks for your thoughts! It’s awesome to hear from another owner.
I should have clarified; I don’t find the treble lacking, but I can see where others might. I agree with you that I think the treble is well-balanced and represented without being too forward or in-your-face.
just got these from another forum member along with the OH10s
Gorgeous iems, shame they chip
I found a few coats of nail varnish sorted that chipping issue. just watch out you don’t cover up any vents.
Mine are still perfect. Just take care of them.
Well this was unexpected. I received my order of the Starfields almost a whole month before the expected delivery date. Needless to say they’ve almost been perfmanently fused with my ears since.
I have to say that they are scary good. They got the oompf, the detail and the soundstage. I’ve even found them incredibly pleasant to use in games beacause of the good imaging, a point which Sennheiser usually has been the absolute choice for me. The isolation is also superb, at least with foam tips. I can’t even hear my AC in the background, which is superb in this humid weather.
Speaking of the tips. They sit quite comfortably in my ears, although I’ve been questioning the tips I have in my possession. I might have to try some of the SpinFit tips. Because one of the minor issues with this design is that they kind of lodge the tips at an angle in your ear, so it doesn’t feel like you get that straight insertion. It’s like one side of the plastic tubing gets pushed a little too hard against my ear canal. Not the same issue with silicone tips, but because of the slight insertion angle, they don’t always seal properly.
Still, initial impressions of them are very good. It feels like they’ve married the good parts of both the BL-03 and T2 and spiced it up a bit more. They don’t go as deep or as rumbly in the bass as the BL-03, but they don’t bloat the mids in the same way either. They can produce low end and a lot of good quality low end at that. Mids and highs are very pleasant, it doesn’t feel too crowded or too distant. So far no track has made me want to rip them out of my ears either.
As a comparison to the HD700 that I normally use. They’re not as relaxed, or have as wide soundstage maybe. But they feel more like a complete package that can do a little bit of everything without feeling lacking in a specific genré.
I will need more listening before I put down my final thoughts. But for €109 they feel like a bit of a steal. I will say that I expected more of the cable though. It’s a nice looking one, but a 4-weave that goes into a 2-pair twist? Questionable. Love the right angle connector though!
+1. My personal favorite. Do it!
So, I just found this.
If you’re not sure if you’ll like the Starfields, the 10$ Sony MH750/755s are a great test (if you can find em… Kanoya on eBay maybe).
Hi, my review of the Starfield and other things is here: https://1drv.ms/w/s!As-gJ-WlszWtgYhyEc5BNWpwr80C8g?e=lwlfAG
Picked them up for 70 bucks I’m loving my set so far very pleasant sound sig
Not only pleasant sound signature of neutral goodness, but they also look beautiful to look at. Though, would have been better if the cable is thicker and I cannot find a replacement cable for it that has a similar color to the Starfield.

Rikudou_Goku always to the rescue. A recommendation at the speed of a bullet!
FYI… Starfield is 2 pin and those cables appear MMCX at first glance.
There is also this much cheaper cable:
Yeah I saw that, I’ll keep that in mind. I will beautify my Starfields even more than before with those cables.
I’ve been testing these out for the past couple days. For the price these are really something. In terms of looks and feels, they’ve got the Tin T4 beat. Sound wise, I’d say they’re fairly neutral. The T4 had a bit more bass but didn’t sound quite as clean. The treble on the Starfield is much more extended and present. As for which tuning I’d prefer, I could go either way depending on the song. Which is a bit disappointing because I got them in the hopes they’d be a good upgrade for me in terms of the tuning since the T4 wasn’t ideal. At least now I have a pretty good idea of what to look for in my next IEM. Anyway, I ended up agreeing to sell to a friend since he likes them more than I do. Though I’m having second thoughts about that lol.
that seems a bit pricey I can get some handmade stuff for cheaper or similarly priced from the philipines even from the UK ior US if I wanted to
Those “EA” cables are very good though. The cable “175” is one of the most popular ones over at head-fi, thanks to this guy: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/resistance-of-cables-pics-comments-and-links.907998/
