Yee sorry I messed up, too early in the morning xD
OG Androās is what I use
OG Andros have a good reputation!
For female vocals, with my library:
- Shuoer EJ07/EJ07m.
- Mangird Tea.
- Tanchjim Oxygen.
Thanks for your impression. Obviously itās a subjective hobby, but itās interesting to see that āVariations is almost the same as Dusk and not worth the upgradeā doesnāt hold necessarily true for everyone. And since I donāt have a hard budget, it seems more sensible to me to spend a few bucks more for the better alternative⦠still making up my mind about what to get.
What worries me more is the fit though, but I guess everything about that has been said already and itās super personal. I think I will just 3d print a fake nozzle and see how well it fitsā¦
Ohmboy, man i been searching for a pair since you suggested them on my āupgrade from P1ā thread
According to my nozzle imitation, the Variation nozzle shouldnāt be a problem.
Can someone confirm that the Blessing 2 and Variations have the same nozzle size (6.45mm)?
Wow⦠How is this Japanese user able to fit in a CP100 into the nozzle? That cable looks hella nice though.
I can fit CP100 on mine easly. It streches a bit but all my tips are kinda streched out
Kinda curious to try it with my CP100+ but Iām also scared of those filters coming off easily. Already replaced with new filters.
Mine came of without filters already lol. I donāt use them. That system/glue is kinda clunky
I do.
I purchased both Variations and DQ6.
Letās see how that may fit my taste.
Will sell then Timeless and H40.
Thanks for helping!
I should try without filters one day. Yeah, it was a bit of a hassle applying new filters but so far itās been okā¦
Itās only there for wax protection btw. Doesnt change the sound on any way, shape or form. Has been measured by mamy, including HBB.
Glad to hear you enjoying them
Congrats! Thatās such a good deal, hope theyāll last you a long time.
The Variations do something with female vocals, right? Sound so great. Feels like I have Sennheiser HD600 in my ears with every aspect they are lacking in removed.
Hello everyone. So I am considering going for Variations. Which tips I should try with them? And is the stock cable good enough or should I go for something else?
Spinfit CP155 should be one good option for tips (of course you can always try the stock tips first)
Oh! Then I donāt not using the filters if it ever comes off. I tend to clean my ears so itās all good in the cleanliness part of it.
Yup! Itās pretty much a dream IEM for Kpop, especially when listening to korean female soloist! I do want to give an impressions soon but Iām just having so much fun just listening to all my music library as a whole right now.
Thanks! Itāll definitely will! I wonāt be getting another IEM at this price range for a very long time.
They sure do! Itās just perfect with my korean music library!
Hey everyone ive read nearly all of the comments in this discussion and was wondering if i could get a few different peoples opinions in regards to the variations when considering my taste and preferences in music sorry if this is absurdly long lol
So id definitely consider myself a bass head given that i have both a 15" and 8" subwoofer in my car i definitely love good deep clean bass and tonality as for the music i listen to i listen to just about everything from rap, hiphop, R&B, pop, all variations of rock and metal, orchestral, funk, jazz, blues, alternative, indie, soul, classics, some edm, trap, country, dubstep basically you name it i probably like it aside from k pop jpop religious music
i own several moondrop products and personally think that the kanas pro is noticeably better than the aria and star feild and the blessing 2 dusk when it comes to bass quantity specifically after some eq and tube amp simulator to raise the bass on my note 9 the kanas pro is almost where id like for it to be however the timbre or tonality idk which is far too midbass heavy for me on the other hand my aria and starfeild sound about the same as for bass which is noticeably lacking even after eq i also have a pair of QOA Adonis which are even more lacking in the bass region now i have a pair of blessing 2 dusk and without eq the upper mids and the treble sound great by far the best clarity ive ever heard from any speaker in my life however the dusk without eq sounds hollow and body less to me almost to the point where it brings back memories of the earbuds that everyone used to have as a kid in the late 90s with eq and simulating a tube amp with my phone the dusk sounds just about where id say its perfect however the tube amp simulator adds bass and mid bass but so much mid bass that it now has a timbre or tonality issue that i had with the kanas pro a so im not sure what i should do the bass self of the variations is noticeably higher on graphs than the dusk but does that actually make a noticeable difference in practice also do the variations fix the issue i had with the music seeming to be hollow with the dusk i really cant believe that some people like super review on youtube think that the B2 dusk bass is overwhelming because i literally cant hear the bass without eq let alone be overwhelmed
As for reference to my āgearā experience with iems in general and what i have and havent tried with the dusk
I just got into the iem scene about a month ago before that i had never spent more than $30 on headphones now i have a pretty considerable collection of iems and tips considering that its been about a month maybe 2 and im far from rich ive tried the spinfit cp155 tbh they made the music feel too harsh for me im quite sensitive to higher frequencies given im on the autism spectrum also theyre like a satellite dish that catch all of the otherside sounds so i can hear everything around me with kinda kills the music vibe for me after that i tried the moondrop sponge t55 foams tips on the dusk and theyre superb i actually have about 8 spare pairs just in case im also listening to music through spotify on a galaxy note9 running software from idk 2019 i use the shanling mw200 for a bluetooth receiver
Also as a side note i can see from the pictures that the variations are noticeably thinner side to side than the blessing 2 how noticeable is this in practice i ask because my dusk hurts my ears due to 2 healing conch piercings im both of my ears and if i wear the dusk the wqy its designed to be worn it sits directly on both of these piercings causing pain and swelling so i have to use them rotated forward towards my face about 25° ish
If you have any questions about anything ive said here feel free to ask but keep in mind im not super informed on the terminology used in this community so i may use the wrong words to describe stuff thanks a ton in advance
