This post exemplifies everything I hate about this hobby. Who gives a flying fuck what others like and dislike in terms of how they enjoy their music? Who cares if they can’t identify a discernible difference between Beats or Bose to something you consider “good.” Grow up and get off your high horse if you’re in this mindset!

I see where your coming from for sure. Personally for me it’s just exposing people to new things, if they end up preferring what they have, then great, no issues whatsoever, and if they end up interested in the hobby that’s great too. There’s no point in trying to convince someone it’s better if they don’t think it’s better themselves

I think my dad is on the older side of boomer as well (68) but he’s a nice boomer doesn’t blame millennial’s for anything, just feels bad most of us don’t own homes.
You ball way harder than me, I can only afford one system, plus my “home theater” is my living room, wish I could get separates but I don’t have the money for that my hope for the future is to upgrade to a Atmos recever. Whats Funny I just had this conversation whether or not a 2ch Receiver sounds better than a home theater receiver, a lot of people seem to feel they don’t if you get a mid - high tier home theater receiver. and you get a really high end 10 year old Home theater receiver with out dated HDMI or no HDMI for next to nothing if you just going to use it for music.

Well, us Gen X’ers all bought homes, only to find out in 2008 they were worth half of what we paid for them.

Single sex with hands or anything you fancy. Maybe even paid escorts if going down with 2, or more.
Plus side might be that you get to live alone. Music and hifi. What i life.

The last time I was single there was no such thing as Tinder. Or smartphones, for that matter. We used to have to go to a club and perform complicated courtship rituals to get a woman’s affections. It sounds so much simpler these days.

Actually same for me, we had smartphones but tender hadn’t been invented yet. My girlfriend was literally my nextdoor neighbor in highschool, I’m probably one of the only millennials that’s never used it before.

We literally met at a Christian summer camp when we she was 15 and I was 17 then figured out we where neighbors. My story is like a Nicholas Sparks novel, except I never when to war and she thought I was KIA and then I came back and married her.

I never went the bar-courtship route. I always met women through school and work.
I never liked the whole bar/club thing, though I’d occasionally go with friends/girlfriends. I guess I was lucky not having to go that route.
