Need a recomendation to find a open backed heaphone with either a warm or dark sound signiture

As the title says I am looking for recommendations for what would be a good open backed dark or warm sounding set of cans. I am not made or money so nothing to pricey.

edit: for sure my budget is below $400, ideally below $300.

edit: thanks for all the input so far, its a lot to think about. Ill have to sleep on it all, I have a new set of pads for my set of closed back arriving soonish if they make a noticeable improvement I may not need a new set of cans or it may just mean I can settle for another closed back set that simply not as claustrophobic from the git go and do a pad swap.

58x is my pick lol

What budget are you thinking of? And for what type of music?

I usually listen to everything rock and synthwave. The reason I am asking this specific question is that I am treble sensitive and have some minor tinnitus in my left ear. well minor except when I don’t use closed back headphones. closed backs give me a headache a case of whistle in the ear .

Gotcha, well something actually more inoffensive then the 58x would be the 6xx which might have a lower chance of being harsh on the ear, you just want to have an amp

the 6xx are an option, not a fan of the connector type used tho.

I also have some tinnitus (from live shows most likely… I regret nothing) and the fidelio x2s havent bothered me in the slightest… I’m not recommending anything because I have very limited experience with headphones but thought this might be helpful to hear.

So is the 58x out of the running as well then?

the 58x is a more neutral-ish sounding headphones, I would really like something more focused on the low end. particularly as I already have a neutral ish set of cans.

Well if you are willing to consider it what about the nighthawks? (Also imo the 58x isn’t that neutral)

The Fidelio definitely isnt warm. Rather boosted treble. The 58x is on the warmer side of neutral, but may not be exactly what you are looking for.

What is your price range?

He updated his post, so essentially under 400 preferably 300

There not many open backs in that range that I would say are as warm or dark as he would want

Damn, just out of range of the LCD-2C. I am treble picky and sensitive at times too. My 2 favorite cans are my Atticus and my LCD-2C.

does updated posts say they have been updated? I know reddit does if the edit is done after so much time has passed.

Yeah it does show that it was updated but it doesn’t notify anyone

Wait what about the kph30i?

My pick would be the 30i/porta pro or the nighthawks

i thought about the lcd 2s but they want twice my budget for a set,

You can typically find them used around $500, but still not in range. You may want to check out the Nighthawks, but those are so polarizing and unique, you really should audition them first.

Yeah I can think of some closed backs in his range but a more warm or dark open is harder to find at this price range
