I think felt would be even worse, you really need something thin and breathable as much as possible.
The stock foam comes with 2 small rings, we are trying to fit one that covers whole “open” part and looks nice.
As for pads, I had some Brainwavz hybrid that I have left from Massdrop T-0x, but they were to shallow. I stuffed them with some wool, and OH MAN - this is it.
I ordered some of this stuff for when my pair comes in. The cells look much larger so it should be more open.
Let us know how it works. From my calculations it is almost 5mm so it"might" be too much, depends on the density

Oh does that mean that the rise from 55 to 80 is only actually a 5dB (25dB/5) rise? If that’s the case then that response graph is insanely good right?
No, I’m talking about the dB scale is in increments of 5dB instead of 10, like many other people use. It makes the frequency bump look more pronounced than it actually is. idk if that makes sense
Oh wait do you just mean the scale of the graph? I was going by the numbers. A 25dB rise from 2k to 4k is significant isn’t it? I don’t really understand this stuff well enough to know for sure

Just wanted to chime in for those wanting to order these cans but concerned about shipping dates. I ordered mine on the 20th of August, and received my shipping notice this morning. Very exciting.
I made my order on the 18th and have not received anything yet.

I agree to disagree.
Unless we confirm that we use same sponge disc with same depth and exact same sound damping profile it is not necessary placebo mate. I mean, you cannot say its placebo based on measurements done with your disc 
(but it is very possible it is placebo)
EDIT: + I was talking about the sense of space )soundstage not FR change. I cannot see how one can measure that, defo not with the minidsp ears 
I’ve been out of state for funeral services for the past couple days. I’m going to be back in a couple more days to continue the review process on these headphones. In the mean time, here is a frequency response graph comparing the stock long hair pads VS the stock short hair pads. Only variable between the two measurements is the change of pads.

I was replying to Ohmboy about his comment regarding reduced bass slam and muddied midrange. I was simply stating that I hear basically zero difference with and without the foam behind my grille and also measure almost no difference with and without it as well. His foam appears to be pressed up against the back side of the driver, whereas mine is floating above it, being sandwiched between the grilles and the wooden structure.

You can do this through Linsoul’s discord channel, where you can speak to Lillian one on one. I myself didn’t receive my shipment notification until 4 or 5 days after my package shipped. I had to message Lillian for her to send me the info.
One more note about Linsoul and shipping - if you have something else in your order that’s not in stock, they’ll likely delay your order so that they can ship everything together when they’re in stock.
For example, I bought the P1s with the phantoms and they told me they could send those out a week earlier when I inquired, but they were waiting for the phantoms.
