It is noticeable, but not as noticeable as speakers are.

I took the plastic material off the grill but not sure if I need to add foam in it’s place, because I didn’t like what I was hearing.

*might not be the best person to answer questions like these

I think it is. As a test I played some tracks from Madonna - The Immaculate Collection and I can definitely pick instrument placement . Also played Letter by Yosi Horikawa and it was neat hearing the writing move across from left to right.

I never thought Tyrone Biggums would make an appearance in this thread. But now that he’s here it makes perfect sense.

I’ve had these stock for the past couple weeks, for my review. I just put them on after about a week of not listening to them, and I love their sound, even stock. They’re great, and even better after mods. I cant wait to get them back to how I really like them though.

YES!!! Fallopian wires are a thing!

Also, did all batch 2 come with the same wire config on each side? Mine came this way, one side over the magnet the other side avoiding the magnet. I just left it “stock” for now until my XL pads arrive next week.

The “real” reason I suspect for the new config was hiring less skilled staff to fill the demand. Longer and cheaper wire that the newer off the street solderers can handle. First gen short white wire required skill since its exact length. Also, this got hyped through the roof, so cutting corners is now okay since their rep is too good to be wrong. Same song and dance with TinHifi P1. Make a good review and first batch then slopsville.

Am I the only one that doesn’t care about the wiring? If it sounds the same, why do we care about the wiring?

I’ve just received mine and there is the wiring issue as well. Gonna try to measure it for a definite conclusion.

It’s being pointed out as something different from batch 1 because people asked.

True, if it moves like a Ferrari who cares whats under the hood right?

Just makes some people wonder what else is different from batch 1. If there was nothing wrong with the first wiring why change it up right? So are batch 1 at some kind of disadvantage where “upgrading” their wires might affect the sound? Things modders or OCD people might care about.

Just coz others are interested in the wiring, doesnt mean you have be and thats perfectly fine.

Whoa! They just made an option over at Linsoul to have a XLR cable for an additional $75.

Has anyone compared the sound of this from a desktop amp vs portable player? I’m finding it sounds more cramped and on a portable. How much mW does this need to sound at its best?

Just wanna be sure im getting the best sound possible out of them.

OCD would be complaining about 1 screw out of the 8 that hold the grills is diferent (longer and flat head). I noticed this but i don’t really care as it doesn’t mess with the sound or comfort.

Sadly there are cases where the new brown longer wire is improperly soldered. Maybe that’s why the first sets had the exact length wire so they dont screw it up.

Oh I don’t care about the fallopian tube wires as far as looks. They are functional and my foam covers them up anyway. My issue was that one of the drivers was wired out of phase and I had to solder the wires correctly.

Mine literally arrived 1 hour ago… how bad is it? I don’t want to watch. Lol

He lost me at “used LCD” - F*** Audeze.

Yeah I don’t hear anything he’s describing with these headphones… But you have to respect his point of view.

Just curious, why do you dislike audeze so much?
