The he4xx interests me strictly because it’s a planar magnetic that’s able to be driven by a phone… does it have any competition in that regard excluding the LCD-1, oppo pm-3 and sine on ear? Two of which don’t seem to be available and one being far more expensive.
I think the pm3 is the more refined headphone, but it is closed back so it’s a different sound. The lcd1 is also more refined imo, but it’s a different signature and also a different price bracket (the oppo is as well)

I noticed in another thread you mentioned the 4xx isn’t doable with a phone only (wondering if I should take it off the list)? Also I noticed the 4xx and 58x are on sale for 130 and 135… is that something I should jump on or is it quite common?
Truthfully they can be driven by a phone but they aren’t really that pleasant

the 4xx has been on sale for the past few months. Ive only seen the 58x on sale like 4 times since release. I am suspecting they are just trying to get rid of 4xx’s

Not really, the senn pads keep the sound and are already pretty comfortable imo

Yeah it’s not something I would recommend, they are just trying to get people to buy the dekoni ones that aren’t selling well

K240 and sr60e and 58x and 4xx. The latter 2 because sale. I’ll spend time with the former 2 and leave the others in their boxes for awhile.
