Very nice bass depiction bro, so so SO tempting those Fatfreq…im just not sure if i should wait for Mini V2 or jump asap on Mini V1…

but for Rosefinch i will order them today. so cheap and seem so fun so why not. it make at least 10 basshead enthusiast that urge me to try them…

IMR earphones too are often suggested, bit pricey but these R1 for ex seem legit BH…hum but its sold out…as well as alot of IMR IEM…it seem its always limited in production. the BC have only 33 left too wtf

I’ve been telling everyone to hold off until the V2 releases and it’s for two reasons:

  1. If the V2 is actually worth the upgrade, depending on price, then you win.

  2. If the V2 isn’t worth the upgrade, but a lot of people sold off their V1 and the 2nd hand market is inflated with more V1s a decent prices - you win.

What about the Thor Mjolnir MK II and Yanyin Canon

The canon should be on the list for sure. It’s got some serious bass and trump’s serial in quantity. The quality is not as good as the serials though.

Also the ie600 and ie300 maybe should be on the list. While not basshead they are definitely in the elevated bass category

Fostex T50RP planar headphones, as I said in my review: Fostex T50RP MK3 Review (with Shure 840 pads): Hard hitting, cold precision., will give you skull-shaking bass and sub-bass. Too V-shaped (sibilance) for me like that, so I did this simple mod which got rid of the 4khz-to-8khz plateau and made em sound “warmer”.

Sony MH755 are 10$, one dynamic driver, and got smooth sub-bass. Warm sound. Otherwise inoffensive tuning. Great timbre. Be careful, there’s a lot of fake ones. Edit: Recommended seller: Genuine Original Modified Sony MH755 MH750 MMCX Modded Earbuds Earphones DIY | eBay

I still haven’t tried the Truthear x Crinacle Zero, but it’s 2 dynamic drivers, with one driver only for the bass (see the red line below). Very interesting.

I wonder why the crossover is set where it is. Based on that graph it looks like it should be set up a little higher as 225hz to crossover at the peak and avoid a hole/dip in the overall FR. Interesting…

Have you seen how precise this graph is? This hole/dip is about one decibel. You’ll never hear it.

I didn’t say you would, but normally crossovers are designed to cross at the peak for the most even slope and seeing as how they’re electronically done, it seemed odd to me to specifically have it crossover early even if you wouldn’t hear it. I didn’t even say it was wrong, I simply said I wonder why they did it. I don’t pretend to be some IEM wizard who knows it all so there could be a very valid reason for it.

Oh ya totally forgot about these. Legendary set. Still holds up to this day, and still working till this day. Chi-fi before chi-fi without the chi-fi QC.

Had to dig them out real quick lol.

Unfortunately I think Focus EDM are out of stock

They had a final sale of EDM stock like a year ago. It’s gone

Focus EDM owner here. I’m open for offers from EU buyers. But be warned I find the EDM is way overblown with bass. It’s one of very few HBB recs I don’t like.

Can confirm: I got my girl a pair of these (Acoustune HS1655cu) for listening to various electronic genres and she absolutely loves them. At the time I was asking around on r/Headphones and r/HeadphoneAdvice for the best IEMs for that kinda thing and these weren’t the most widely mentioned, being from anlesser known brand, but they were mentioned by the people that I regularly saw and put more trust in. On top of that they were championed, so to speak, by one of the known bassheads over there. For whatever that’s all worth lol! :joy:

oh, damn…somebody on NBBA do a very intriguing suggestion…REECHO SG03. Anybody heard them here???

LCP DD N52 magnet. metal housing. 55$ (on sale but they seem always on sale)

I have the SG01 OVA, they aren’t basshead, lush balanced V shape…

SG03 with its 15db seem rad BH

(PS: i was kinda block yesterday, since its a new account it seem i was too active replying on this very thread…hum)

These can be find for 100$ on Aliexpress i think…very very underatted and its because of overly serious reviewers imo

not radical basshead but sure bassgasmic to my ears and so so underated: THhifi Character 1DD+1BA Hybrid.

Its really the DD that impress me but the implementation of BA is well done too.

Round clean punchy bass, quite fast too, and mid and sub bass line can cohabite nicely whitout going muddy or too dark.

DD use a resin diaphragm, and it sure have great elasticity, no resonant boom, nor distorted rendering.

Kinda bass-fi to me, budget way…punch is hard enough to be consider fun (or basshead by overly mature and boring audiophile)
